- All posts here must follow Portkey's site-wide rules.
- All stories posted in this section must comply with the Criteria for Portkey's Fanfiction Side.
1) Stories posted in this area should focus on Ginny/Draco, or their children.
The stories cannot end with Ginny/Draco breaking up.2) Each writer should post no more than 5,000 words from the same story.
This maximum applies to the entire fic, no matter if it is spread out over several posts. If you've already posted 5,000 words from the same story, then you have to stop posting it here. You may try submitting it to Portkey's fanfic side or to other sites. See the bottom of this post for info on applying as a Portkey author.
TIPS for conducting word counts, courtesy of Nielle, Crystal & Pen:
- In MS Word: copy and paste your fic to MS Word, then go to the Tools Menu -> Word Count, OR
- In Firefox browser: install this extension. (You need to restart Firefox.) Then select text, right click it and select "word count". OR
- Copy and paste the fic to this online word counter.
3) Forum stories must go no higher than PG-13.
These unrestricted forums aren't the place for adult content. "Adult content" includes --but is not limited to-- graphic descriptions of the following: sex, rape, violence, abuse, and homosexual relationships. (Reference for Mods.)
4) Spelling and grammar standards are less stringent for fics posted in this forum.
This means stories will not be removed from this section due to poor grammar and/or spelling alone. But be prepared to hear comments about that!
Also, do make your fics more readable by inserting a blank line in between paragraphs. 5) Kindly insert the next post's templates in your story posts.
6) Everyone watch their language, please.
Mods will only allow mild swear words like "hell", "arse", and "bloody". We will delete rude words and enter a warning in the poster's permanent record (which only Mods can see). We may take more drastic action, such as suspension of posting abilities.
7) Bump posts are frowned on here.
"Bump posts" are those one-liners, one-worders, or predominantly-emoticons messages whose sole purpose is to move the thread back up on the forum's first page. Mods will immediately delete these posts as they hardly add value to the site. If you want to reply to a thread, you must say something more substantial than
or *bump* or Great! Write soon! Both writers and fellow readers would prefer if you specify which scenes or lines did you like.
Or comment on what particular aspect --plot, characterization, etc. -- need to be improved.
