Hey all, am stealing Kristina's idea here as today is the first anniversary of the day I joined Portkey and I never made an intro thread.

So, what is there you don't know about me already? Gee, I remember signing up with the full intentions of Lurking with all the features (I kept that up for about a month) and now... among other things I never thought I'd do, I'm one of the top ten posters. Still don't know how that happened. By the way, to those who want to increase their post counts, feel free to usurp my spot there. *glances at HB*

Anyways, this first year has been fantastic, and I look forward to continuing hanging around the most friendly place on the net. I've made many wonderful friends at Portkey, and encountered many brilliant and crazy minds. Here's to meeting even more! *hands out Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream and sprinkles, Muffins and pumpkin juice*

It's actually quite strange, and I laughed when I first noticed. Let me explain. The strange turns that led me to PK were through stumbling upon my first HP fic Everybody Loves Hermione. Then after sifting through many more HP Fics came across one of babygrrl's stories which referred to PK in the A/N. I didn't really think much about this until Louielacious (who registered at PK 19/03/04), made her first post on June 3rd. Louielacious is the author of Everybody Loves Hermione and effectively responsible for my ending up here, yet she joined PK almost a year after me. Funny how the world works, isn't it?

So I guess the moral of the story is, blame Louielacious. Kidding! Louielacious, you have literally no idea how much I owe you! *offers Louielacious vast quantities of Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream and sprinkles* Many thanks, and here's to more fun at Portkey!

We're also eyeing others for all 3 Newbie forums. Got 2 - 3 people in mind who will fit here and in other areas. Will make more announcements sometime. But if you want to recommend co-Mods, let me know, ok?

I can clearly recall when I first talked to you onboard. In one of the old "why is the H/H ship called the HMS Pumpkin Pie?" threads. Back when there were 3 or 4 of them scattered in the H/H Main Forum. I posted Parker's essay answering that question. Then you quoted one line in your sig, but attributed it to me under my old username galtxtr. So I called out to you that I didn't write that, much as I'd love to have that bragging right. You replied, "oh I love how my name stood out in bold!"

*searches for said posts* Yep, here they are. In Aug 2003 yet.

By that time, we and Kalie were among the handful of people greeting newbies regularly in the Troll forum. The beginnings of the Troll Wrestlers Army. In Oct, the 3 of us and Christine happened to talk directly to one another in Rhea's Troll thread. You know the rest.
