3- I don´t really like the hug so much ( because of the following RH no-hug) , but anyway it is an HH Hug!!
4- HH holding hands: This CoS scene is filmed but CC didn´t keep it on the final version..Have you seen the Panini stiker-collection? Harry and Hermione [B]HOLD[/] their hands, after the no-hug. IT´S JUST LOVELY.
5-The way Daniel/ Harry looks at Hermione/Emma during the whole film.


I think Cos is more a " Harry really feels something for Hermione" thing...

My friend likes to argue (we have a constant naval battle gong on here. [Ships, battle, on the water, so a naval battle? AH HA!]) about the hug scene in CoS. She thinks that Hermione couldn't hug Ron because of the theory that a person can not hug someone they like. I think, hey, they are still friends, and she hugged Harry, so there is so loveness going on there. And I always like the carress thing on the infirmary after Herm was petrified. LOVE IT! You guys hit on all my major points, but I'll do more research for ya!

There's one thing we can conclude- the scriptwriter is a H/Hr shipper and so is Columbus.

I don't think the writer is H/Hr I think his comments went something like: Have you read the 4th book? - when he was asked about why there was no hug between R/Hr. I'll go and get the proper quote...

And I ADORE the Diagon Alley scene in the CoS movie. It was LOVELY! The way they LOOKED at each other was just so INTENSE... *happy HH sigh*

I remember that! I so squeed at that moment, I have it bookmarked in my reading book. (I'm such a freak I have two sets of books, one for reading, one for collecting.)

I think PoA has a lot of H/Hr moments that I can't remember right now, but I will, and when I do, I'll post them, if not... I'll go look for them now.

I love that PoA scenelet in Hogsmeade as well - I can't believe I never noticed it until Ebony pointed it out! I can just picture that grin, and Hermione's awkward stuttering. Really unfair, Harry.

They held hands-- how adorable! *crosses fingers for it showing up on DVD* They expanded scenes on the Episode II DVD, maybe they'll add the hand-hold back into CoS. I can dream, anyway.

So that scan is yours, Carla? Would you mind if I posted in on my H/Hr site? I agree with Nailju, the piccy love needs to be shared with as many as is possible. *g*

Some of my fave moments:
--The lake walk! If pumpkin pie wasn't our official food, I'd be one of the first to line up to support the all important Toast Hermione Gave Harry. She's so understanding of him.
--Harry thinking about Petrified Hermione (to the point where he's not listening to people) in CoS. *sigh*
--The two make-up conversations in PoA.
--The infamous Yule Ball Gawp.
--The Kiss, of course. *can't wait for GoF DVD screencap of this... )*

Films:
--The great wizard scene. Hugless though it was, the looks between Harry and Hermione in that scene plenty made up for it.
--The Diagon Alley meeting in CoS. Don't they look just so happy to see one another? (I'm getting the feeling her fixing his glasses is going to be a recurring joke in the movies.)
--Big Duh: who here *doesn't* love the hand caress? I was literally speechless when I saw it.
--The Hug. *happy sigh*

As far as the "Have you read the 4th book?" comment... I'm pretty sure that was Columbus, not Kloves. Steve Kloves' ship preferences are still open for debate, as far as I know. Of course, he *is* a Hermione fan, so it would seem to stand he'd want the best choice for her...

Hello everyone! I agree with all your H/Hr scenes...but I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up.

The particular scene I'm about to mention is often considered as...sort of...an anti-H/Hr scene. But for me, I think it was the first time ever, before I discovered the world of fandom, that the idea of H/Hr ever occured to me! Don't ask me why! Let's just say I was wallowing in the bliss of ignorance

Anyway, I think that Rita Skeeter's Article: Harry Potter's Secret Heartache could be considered as one. I know it doesn't exactly promote their relationship, per se, but I just found it worthy to bring up...considering while I read GoF I actually giggled at the possibility that something like that could happen.

Then, fandom opened its doors to me, and I'm a rabid H/Hr shipper

PoA the firebolt incident, most see this as an argument, but most of the argument is Ron/Hermione. I think the scene shows that Hermione cares (if not loves) enough about Harry to risk him hating her rather than risk losing him forever.

I happen to think of the Rita Skeeter article as a very important piece of evidence. It's like this: Yes, Rita wrote that just to gain audience and spite Harry. But, hey, she can't be THAT convincing, can she? Ergo, people at Hogwarts have to have seen something between them since before the article was published, to believe it so easily. As moogliecat said, she could've gone for a H/D article-- I personally think nobody would've believed her. And I for one am in love with the thought that maybe everybody knows they have something, but them Isn't it just cute?

I know... I think I commented in the movie thread that her fixing his glasses is probably going to end up a running joke in the films. *g* (Seeing as it was Mr. Weasley who was supposed to fix them in CoS, instead of Hermione.)

Another favorite PoA moment:
--When the Quidditch team tells Harry they thought he'd died, and an already visibly-upset Hermione makes that strangled squeaky noise. Utterly terrified of something happening to him...
--Also, Hermione going off to fetch Harry's Invisibility Cloak for him because he'll be in trouble if he does it.

Then GoF:
--Hermione brushing off Krum twice because of Harry right after the second task, not to mention the fingernail marks on her face after the first task (which Harry barely seemed to notice ). No wonder Krum suspected something. (This would seem to fit in with you guys' theory on the Skeeter article.)

My Very odd book moment

Erm.. half of you likely to see it like what most others see it, but here goes.

Harry comments in book 4, after the GOF fight that (paraphrased) Harry liked Hermione a lot, but he wished Ron was there. There was less laughter with Hermione, and less time doing it, and more time in the books.

THE WAY I'VE ALWAYS SEEN THE SCENE
I saw that scene in context of what was happening. He had a massive fight with Ron. His very FIRST friend. Not only that but someone was out to kill him. He also had to find a way to keep himself alive from the Dragon. EVEN in all of this - He had fun with Hermione. HE DID. What he said was there was less fun - it implies some fun! Thinking of it in context - I think if Harry spent time with the twins, he would say HE HAD MORE FUN with them than Ron. He was also missing Ron. While he had Hermione as his rock.

I hope I made sense. I just think that whole scene was about JK slipping in some hope for the HH fanatics who have found a way to turn even the most odd non reasons into reasons.

Um, I'm not a Mod or anything, but I think you should keep the R/Hr and D/G bashing to a minimum. I know we're an H/Hr website, but if people from other ships visit, I'm sure we don't want to give them the wrong impression!

I am myself an slight H/G shipper as well as an H/Hr shipper, and if I feel mildly offended by what you're saying, then people really dedicated to those ships will feel it a lot more.

If you wish to discuss why you think these pairings are 'icky' without backing up your thoughts, the 'Why I hate R/Hr' thread at FAP might be a better place.

Don't get irritated at me, please! I'm just trying to do the best for the site! I hope I'm not interfering. Now, this thread was for mentioning the H/Hr in the books and films. Let's keep it to that!

-Harry saves Hermione from a Cornish pixie during their first DADA lesson

-Harry changes the flowers on Hermione's bedside table.

-At the hospital wing, the second visit Harry says, "We really miss you Hermione. We need you now, more than ever." He takes hold of her hand and rubs it. (Squeee!)

Sorry if my previous comments offended anyone. Let me clarify. I don't hate Ron. I just think that the bickering between him and Hermione is unhealthy in a relationship. I have no problem with R/oc. I don't really hate Ginny either. The only thing we have seen of her personality so far is her crush on Harry. Typically little girl crushes do not turn into love. I had a few myself many years ago and I can say now that I would be hard pressed to even remember the names of the boys that I was so in love with. I think a soul mate exists for everyone and H/Hr are meant to be in my opinion. Also it would be wonderful if we had tons of R/Hr and H/G shippers visit this sight, it would give us the chance to turn them to the H/Hr side

I hope anyone who was offended takes this post as me extending the olive branch to all other ships Okay, I know that's not an olive branch, but it's the only plant like icon I saw.

..I don't believe i've posted on this thread before, but i've read it many times and i thought i should finally start posting. Hmm.. H/Hr moments, that's not too hard to think of is it? Well, there isn't much in the Sorceror's Stone so i guess i'll look at what I saw in Chamber of Secrets...

..Ok, first of there's the glasses fixing scene which i think is gonna happen in all the movies (it seems like a popular joke). And, is it just me, or did you guys see the way they look at each other? I mean, they sooo look like they like each other.

Then, of course, there's the hand-holding/hand-caressing scenes in the infirmary (i had to stuff my fist in my mouth so i wouldn't squee out loud). And Harry brings her flowers (or rather changes them) and says that they need her more than ever (which is so true).

And in the end there's the Hug, followed by the deleted scene of the hand-holding after the no-hug. (I think the directors are trying to hint at something with all of this)

And if they can turn the least H/hr-ish book into H/H shippiness i think the next movie will be even more H/Hr.

By the way, did anybody else notice the Avada-- thing in the end of the movie? (Before Dobby says "you shall not harm Harry Potter".)

i think that since everyone seems to be talking about r/hr and g/h, i might as well post something that pertains to the thread topic.. namely hhr moments.

books:
- after the first task, when herm has fingernail marks all over her face because she was clutching it so tight. GoF

- the classic PS/SS hug moment. "you're a great wizard harry!"

- and yes, the whole 'are you going to report me?' thing. ah, i thinks harry's cheating a bit, lol, grinning like that.

movies: (i want to add that i think every h/hr shipper should be thanking God (or merlin, depending on your religious outlook, lofl) that we have emma watson and dan radcliffe portraying our hero/heroine. they seem to have a lot of... 'chemistry' onscreen that is endless fun for HHR fans)

- even after the awkward r/hr no hug moment, hermione then speaks only to harry, not even very much acknowledging ron that much at all. she looks only at harry and speaks only to him. and when she first came in, neville found it only necessary to inform harry that herm was back. not ron, not ron & harry, just harry. (methinks neville is onto something, lol) CoS

- when the scene shifts from harry and ron discovering herm as a millicents kitty, to where theyre walking down some steps, ron asks harry how herm is doing. this obviously indicates that harry has been the only one visiting her regularly. CoS

well that's my bit.

Yes, yes! I HAD noticed that the first time I saw the movie. It only reinforces my theory that people outside the trio DO notice little things between Harry and Hermione... which made it all the more easy to believe Rita Skeeter's article that said they had something between them. Ironic, how the three of them are really that blind to see what everyone else does.

Well, suffice it to say, the discussion about the possible interpretations of the Kiss at the end of GoF in another thread here got me thinking about all the other H/Hr moments that happen in canon. And I've come to some odd conclusions that I'd just like to throw out there...

At the end of PS/SS, Dumbledore told Harry that Lily's love was what prevented him from dying from the Killing Curse. I, personally, don't find that to be explanation enough - I'm sure there were other forces at work that night - but let's let that stand for a moment as the complete and utter truth.

Now, we need to consider how Harry was able to burn Quirrel from just a touch. IMHO, the protecting effect of Lily's love on Harry could not possibly have lasted ten whole years. So, what was protecting him in this case?

Fast forward now a scene...Harry's still in the room with the Snape's puzzle. Right by his side is Hermione. Suddenly, out of the blue, Hermione hugs Harry and starts rambling about friendship, etc. Could it be this hug that gave Harry the love he needed to defeat Quirrel?

Just a thought from a deranged, HP-obsessed mind that has just spent five straight hours reviewing multivarible calculus for an exam tomorrow morning...

Must see if Harry touched Wormtail in his human form at any time because if he did and there wasn't any burning then your theory could be shot down. I don't think Wormtail knows love any better than Quirrell did but I could be wrong. I remember Dumbledore saying something about a wizard debt and how Harry will be happy that he saved Wormtail one day. Wormtail could show love at that possible time.

And I don't think my theory would be shot down if Wormtail didn't burn. The issue is that Hermione hugged Harry *right* before he went to face Voldie/Quirrell. In PoA, if my memory is correct, Hermione never hugged Harry *that* way (unless you count when they rode on Buckbeak, but that was afterwards anyways).

Well... its offical, I can not wait until april 11th to get the CoS dvd to see if that hand-holding scene made one of the 19 deleted ones (fingers are crossed!) I could just pee from the excitement! Lol.
Yes! One of my favorite HH moments is in GoF after the first task when Herm has the fingernail marks on her face. Now... Ive had fingernail marks on my face a few times from being scared or worried beyond belief. And it HURTS to actually make dents in your face that would last for a while (obviously she was holding herself pretty darn hard if they were still clearly visable after running out of the stands, through the crowds, to the tent, to see Harry). I think anyone who would go through that much pain becuase they were worried for someone must care for that person a whole bunch....

Joyce- I know I already said it on the Pumpkin Pie thread, but I think that it is an awesome theory, and is very sound. I think it is very probable that the hug (the love) shown by Hermione towards Harry would give him enough protection. I also agree about your PoA comments- Hermione did not hug Harry, she was holding on to him, it doesn't count. Maybe we can find more instances where it would work!
