WARNING: LONG POST AHEAD <pulls train whistle>
<hugs Harry and Hermione plushies

> ... <deep breath>
I probably would've freaked out if this thread had come out months ago...but since I've been mentally preparing myself for the (what I think is
definite but not lasting) R/Hr coming up in OotP with Sugerquill I think I'm okay.
Now that that's out of the way...I HAVE NO CLUE! GAAAH! <rips hair out>
So much for the calm, collected thing.

. If Harry and Hermione don't get together (which I personally think is impossible unless Voldie kills one/both of them) then I really don't know.
Harry and Cho or Harry and Ginny
squick me to no end. Cho because of the death of Cedric.
Ginny because of her serious "hero worship" crap that I really really hate. Fandom made me had H/G even more because it seemed really forced, like something that was expected of them from the Weasleys or because Ginny turns into a character much like Hermione! She becomes smart, sensitive, and in some cases starts to have the trippy ESP thing that Harry and Hermione share. One word...BLAH!

I've heard that Ginny has a bigger role in the next book so maybe if she completely loses the hero-worship and starts having a mind of her own, I'll like her a bit.
Lavander, Parvati, etc. aren't good choices either because they aren't really developed.
Now if Hermione didn't get with Harry...
Ron is a definite
NO-NO (more like a hella-no for reasons below but whatever

)
Ron and Hermione have never (and probably) will
never mesh well enough to be a successful couple. They straight-up brawl most of the time, not banter. If it was playful, and flirty then I could possibly see it...but
it's not and I really dislike the fact that some R/Hr's use their arguing as "banter" for reasons why R/H belong with each other(but that's another story). They are great as friends, and I think will be even better once Ron gets over his (rather obvious) crush.
Hermione and Viktor - <SQUICK> It's not the age difference...It's not even that he lives in Bulgaria...Nope, not even that he goes to Durmstring (sp?)...It's the fact that HE CAN'T EVEN SAY HER NAME CORRECTLY!

I mean, c'mon, really now.
Hermione and Dean/Seamus/etc/Malfoy - The first three are unsure because we never see her with them too much but I'll leave the options open. Malfoy is another hella no. I really don't think he'll turn to the good side and even then, will she be able to forgive him and all the hurt he caused her? My answer is a resolute no. Plus I do like my D/G...<waves Draco and Ginny plushies>
I really can't imagine H/Hr not falling for each other. I'm expecting some definite crushing for both parties by the end of the book
at least. I mean, how long can you hang out with out the opposite sex before you consider them as possible girlfriend/boyfriend material? In the good words of Tom (from Bridget Jones' Diary)
| QUOTE |
All rushed to first aid with Vogue, sparkling wine, cigarettes etc. and Tom announced there was no such thing as platonic friendship. ...
"No, no," Tom said. "It's just a fin-de-millennium way of dealing with the nightmare of relationships. All friendships between men and women are based on the sexual dynamic. The mistake people make is ignoring this, then getting upset with their friend doesn't shag him."
