Last Post, by HB:

“I don’t think you should’ve done that, Harry, or just leave them lying there,” said Hermione after a few minutes of other homework.
“I don’t care, I’ll do it again if they tell the teachers, and they probably won’t even remember it,” said Harry, still angry.
Ron, who had been keeping quiet through the fight and the journey back, was staring at Harry’s hand and the ring.
“What’s wrong mate?” asked Harry. “Are you alright?” waving his hand in front of his face, and watched his face go side to side.
Waking out of the trance, Ron managed to say,
“Err, Harry, are you ok? Look at your hand….”
Hermione gasped loudly. The ring was gone, and the place where it used to be had turned a glowing red.

Hermione looked like she was going to argue back but Harry stoped her.

"Thanks Ron, it means a lot that your sticking up for me, but Hermiones just worried about me. I'll go to the Hospital Wing if i start to have problems with it, I promious." he said looking at Hermione, then started to smile. " I wonder how long it will take Malfoy to try to hex me"

The following days passed in a blur to Harry and his best friends. The school knew nothing about what had happened in the Great Hall with Malfoy and his cronies; even though Harry suspected Snape knew, as the following morning, in Potions, the Professor had treated Harry exceptionally bad, loudly pointing out that Misters Malfoy, Goyle, and Crabbe were missing.

Harry had shared a look with Hermione.

Other than Potions and Occlumency lessons, the rest of the time was quite pleasant. No Malfoy around meant two things to Harry. He wouldn't have to listen to the Ferret drawl on and on about something stupid and the other; he wouldn't have to hurt anyone else.

Five days after the 'Incident' in the Great Hall, Harry strode into the Great Hall in the morning for breakfast. Hermione was nowhere to be seen and Ron had yet to shower.

Harry sat and ate with no problem until the time of Post. Swarms of owls flew into the Great Hall from the windows above. Harry didn't bother looking up; it was months since he had last received mail.

However, a small black owl, somewhat bigger than Pig, landed near his plate, dropped a rolled up note, and took off immediately. Harry followed it with his eyes until it exited the Great Hall from the windows.

Harry picked the note up and unfurled it. As he did this though, he had the vague feeling of being watched.

The note was scribbled in red ink, which looked fresh. Harry read it to himself, barely containing a laugh.

Harry crumpled the note and let it fall to the ground under the table. He looked up slowly, across the hall and to the Slytherins. Heads snapped towards their own plates as they saw Harry observing them.

Harry laughed some more to himself, stood up and went off to his morning classes, not bothering to wait for Ron, who would probably skip breakfast.

Hermione gasped as she arrived at the Gryffindor table. She had heard Millicent Bulstrode and Pansy Parkinson in the library: they were all going to jump Harry on the way to Potions! SDhe had the feeling it wasn't true, but as she scanned the table, she saw a crumpled note under it. She hastily picked it up: she knew she was already late for class, but Harry's safety was far more important.

The note comfirmed what she suspected. A tear fell from her eyes as she took off in a run. The tear smudged the ink a bit, but it was still reciognizable. It read:

Potter-

what you did to our housemates is unacceptable. Watch your back, because Slytherins are in your wake.

All right all right just give me a list of all the slytherins doing the jumping, and i'll pound out (ha ha pun) a fight scene to end all fight scenes!

Wonder where Nott went? although Harry didn't hurt him as badly as the others maybe he was there, and was the one to tell the other slytherins what happened. Yeah that must be it.

Was the note written in blood? Was it Malfoy's? i must know!

Great job anto! and now there shall be blood shed, although there will be no deaths, just many people who are woozey from blood loss. and we learn more about the ring.. that isn't there any more, because it became a part of Harry... damn, spoiler, forget i said that.

Josh; I'm sorry to say that in my opinion, you shouldn't like say that you will make a fight scene some days before because in the meantime no one can post their installments, until you've posted your post.

Just my two cents.

I was going to end my ''scene'', but I'll let you do it. We're going back to 'normalicy' after that.

Hey now hold on a sec here. Anto wrote that the slytherins were going to jump him Harry isn’t the kind of guy to just stand back and take this. Besides I haven’t had Harry kill any one in a while, they’ve just gotten bloody noses, if you wrote that they died of blood loss that’s not my concern, I didn’t do it. And I’m getting yelled at for being GONE FOR TWO DAYS!

Harry wasn’t in a good mood; it was bad enough that he’d been forced into fighting evil, but having said evil come out and threaten him, when they had started it. It seems like evil needs to look up the word “hypocrisy.” Harry was far beyond caring at this point if they wanted to take their revenge on him… let them, its all just practice until he had to face Voldemort again. And a weapon should never hesitate, should never feel remorse or pity for its target, a weapon only exists to get the job done, and Harry knew what his job was, to kill Voldemort.

Harry was rather thankful when the Slytherins appeared around him, it meant that he didn’t have to watch his back after today, because God knew he didn’t want to end up a paranoid wreck like Moody.

“You know why we’re here, Potter, just submit it will be easier for you.”

Who was that, oh yes Blaise Zabini. “I’m well aware of why you’re here, it’s not very smart to warn some one that you’re going to jump them. And no, it would be easier for you, so I will ask you nicely, please leave now.”

Pansy spat at him, “If you haven’t noticed your out numbered, seven to one.”

Harry grinned, “I was out numbered last time too, and I’m telling you leave now.”

Out of the Slytherins there it took Harry slightly by surprise when Millicent Bulstrode threw the first punch. So much so that Harry fell after taking the hit in the mouth. It was on, they all came at him at once. The most offensive tactic Harry could use was somersaulting backward away from them to get his bearings.

Backing up farther Harry, braced his feet and jumped head first into Bulstrode’s stomach, Harry briefly wondered what the impact of his hard head would do to her soft stomach, when she began dry heaving Harry dug his feet into the floor and pushed harder sending the ogre like girl backward and out of the fight.

“I asked you to leave, I told you to leave, now I’m going to make you… and there won’t be a drop of blood.” Malcolm Baddock learned this first hand when Harry’s knee came up into his crotch, as he had tried to do the same to Harry. “You will learn not to play with dangerous weapons. They are to be respected.”

Blaise went into a loose fighting stance with Pansy next to him, as Harry stood there hands at his sides. Pansy made the first move, throwing out a clumsy punch, which Harry caught in his right hand and began to squeeze it until the joints popped, at the first sound Blaise shot toward Harry landing two quick punches, to his exposed side. Harry grunted from the pain and flung his leg out past Zabini’s head, contracting his muscles he dropped his heel into Zabini’s back sending him down to the floor. Pansy got the same heel in her stomach sending her out of the fight.

So far Harry had done what he said he’d do, he didn’t attack any one who didn’t attack him, and so far there wasn’t any blood.

“Harry, behind you!”

Two large arms swept around him, Adrian Pucey had him, the strength of his arms constricting Harry’s ribs, making it hard to breath, making it hurt. Harry tried to take in a breath but it was forced out of him. Tunnel vision. Hermione was trying to tell him something, but it was all muddled up with the blood pounding in his ears. Harry couldn’t tell whether he heard of felt his ribs pop and crack. Flinging his head back in pain, Harry’s head impacted with Pucey’s forehead, and Harry found himself on the floor gasping for the air that had just previously abandoned him. Staggering to his feet, he evaded a meaty fist by luck, taking a chance Harry reached out and tapped Adrian’s Adam’s apple send him to the floor gasping for the air that had now abandoned him.

Harry choked out a quick, “Leave… now.” Daphne Greengrass and Tracy Davis were quick to heed his warning.

Hermione rushed toward Harry, “Are you alright?”

“My… ribs, I think…a couple are… broken.”



Ok just for the record I don’t know how many people have died so far. But here are the ones that I can remember: Hagrid, Fudge might have, Several nameless death eaters, bellatrix, grubbly-plank. And Harry’s only taken out three or four at least that I’ve written, I don’t remember if I counted quirrel.

And I left the other quidditch games open for other people to do.

Anto give me a break it takes time to choreograph this stuff, I map all this out in real life with my friends before I write it down.

Kris, *digs through memory* if I remember correctly, waaaaay back in Thread one, there was a Weasley dare about turning sixteen and having to be chosen a girl and kiss... Harry had to kiss Hermione and it was a chaste one (whatever that means, im just quoting ).
In other words, they are NOT allowed to fall in love till end, or go out (i guess) but a quick kiss would be ok

Hermione gasped. “Oh Harry, we have to get you to the Hospital Wing now!”

Harry shook his head. “No… I don’t really feel like moving right now… I’m just gonna sit here for a while okay?”

Hermione nodded. “I’ll… I’ll go get someone…”

She turned around and started to make her way away when Harry grabbed her hand. “No… can you stay here with me for a while?”

Hermione wanted to say no and go and get some help, but nodded anyways, taking a seat down next to Harry on the floor.

They sat in silence for a while, Hermione leaning against the wall, listening to Harry trying to collect his breath. She had been so bloody scared when she finally made it to the scene and saw Harry fighting the Slytherins. Bloody scared. She hadn’t been able to find her voice until she saw Adrian Pucey come up behind him. And now…

“Are you okay, Harry?” she asked in a quiet voice.

Harry gave her a soft smile and took her hand again. “Yea… thanks to you… How did you know about this Hermione?”

Hermione blushed. “Well, I heard some Slytherins talking about it, and I kind of found the note.”

Harry gave a small laugh. “You always seem to be here for me, whenever I need you…”

Hermione smiled. “I’ll always be here for you. You’ll always have me, you know that right?”

Harry squeezed her hand. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

He gently pulled her towards him, motioning her to lean into him. Hermione protested. “No, Harry your ribs, I might—”

“No, just lay your head on my shoulder, I’ll be alright.”

He kept pulling to her and she came, gently laying down her head, while he wrapped his arm around her. How good this felt. It felt so… right.
