Since we don't have any Mods doing anything in the RR's at the moment anyway, I might write this. As I alone can not tell you what to do, and what not to do, I'd like for people to help me get ideas.


Here's the parts that I 'stole' from the L/J RR User Guidelines (although I used another colour )



1. Go over the story in progress.
Quickest way to do that would be to look over this Easy-Read thread. (To be linked as soon as it exists)


2. Contribute your thoughts in the Discussion Thread.
Any constructive comment is welcome! Voice your reservations about character or plot developments, suggest some scenes, give us reference links (you may also post them here).


3. Feel free to write the story's next part!
All you need to do is:
--Write it in accordance with Round Robin Guidelines.
--Post that part in the Discussion Thread, or put a notice that says "I'll do the next part". Prior permission is NOT necessary to write parts of the story.

Don't fret over grammar, spelling, or punctuation. Other L/J RR regulars will take care of that. Our emphasis here is to exchange ideas, not to submit a thesis. This isn't school -- we're not aiming for grades, we're aiming for fun.

4. Other ways to help make the Round Robin grow:

• Advertise the forum. You may copy any of these codes into your signature. If you need help, send any Global Mod a private message.
• Provide URLs to websites that could be used as reference.
• Cheer on the writers.
• Visit whenever you have the time. You will always be welcome

  => Post the copies on this thread, then I'll move and pin them in the appropriate sections.
• copy the L/J templates for inviting PK authors over to the RR.

I'm temporarily Mod-ing the L/J RR, btw.


Anto's idea of an Easy Read Thread in the H/H RR is quite helpful. Once we find a Mod for this forum, I'll be glad to teach him/her how to copy the discussion posts into an "Easy Read" thread.

Ri, after re-reading my post, I got a bit confused myself. What I meant to say was that you guys are welcome to copy the templates, messages, and ideas that we're doing in the L/J RR. Many of them were borrowed from the H/H R/R.

Example, we're inviting L/J authors to the R/R. We've got a template for the invite, and we're distributing the task among ourselves. Feel free to follow our system, or adopt a different one. It's on the "Advertise the L/J RR" thread. It is working: 3 authors came over after getting the invite, 1 of them wrote a part, another copied our ad template to her sig.

Even PK's biggest forums started smalll, you know. I'll advertise this D/G RR in D/G main, D/G Fic Recs and Gen Fic Discussion now. It might be a good idea for you authors to advertise this forum in your PK author profiles.

Btw, Kaykos (Nicole) (hi!), can you access your Mod CP in this RR sub-forum?

Overall Round Robin Story/Posting Guidelines:
Please check Portkey's Glossary for any unfamiliar terms

• This is a PG-13 forum, so please keep your posts PG-13, or even PG or G.
  This means that the story parts cannot contain graphic scenes of rape, abuse, sex, etc. Nor can it have slashy elements, or unsuitable language.
  No bashing of any people or groups of people, real or fictional, including our Portkeymates. Bashing means unjustified criticism.
  
  
• This is the D/G RR, so please refrain from putting in too much H/Hr, or other couples
  
  
• The Portkey Forum and Chat Rules apply here as much as they do everywhere else
  
  
• 18O's in the characters actions and personalities will not be tolerated
  go to the H/Hr RR Guidelines if you're unsure about this, zanarkand gives a nice example.
  
  
• We have (or will have) our own thread for plotting this out. Do not write anything that contradicts said plot.
  
  
• No OT-comments, and yes, I feel like a hypocrite for saying this. You may of course add some OT-ness after either having posted a part of the RR, or after posting something that's not OT on the planning thread (my loophole )
  
  
• No cross-generation nor student-teacher pairings, please. The books' students should not be paired up with any teacher. Generally, romantic pairings shouldn't have an age gap of more than 3 years. But Bill / Fleur and Remus / Tonks ARE fine.
  
  
• The Round Robin story must flow smoothly from one part to the next. Take care not to disrupt the sequence of scenes.
  
  
• Feel free to write any part of the story. To promote efficiency, please post a notice that says "I'll do the next part", shortly before you do write it. Kindly post that notice in the Story Discussion Thread.
