Hmm...children. Well, first of all I don't think they'd have more than two. Hermione just seems like she'll be the type of woman who wants to have children, but not become some sort of baby farm. She'll have a career and a family.

I'm going to say that they'll have a boy and then about three years later (after she's forgotten how much it hurt the first time), they'll have a little girl.

I firmly believe that any son of Harry's will bear the name James. Perhaps his middle name would be Hermione's father's name. As for the girl, she'll be a little angel and she'll need a very pretty English name. I'm partial to Elizabeth, but I think that Charlotte Potter sounds nice too. And her middle name will be Lily. Of course.

I've tried doing the DNA square for Harry and Hermione, but there's just too many factors we don't know. The green-eye gene is obviously predominant in Harry's lineage, but Hermione's brown eyes might stoke out his recessive brown-eye gene. I'm going to be optimistic and say that somehow, James winds up as a mini-Harry with adorable green eyes, but Hermione's brown hair. Charlotte will get her maternal grandmother's red locks and her mother's brown eyes.

There you go. James Potter the second and Charlotte Lily Potter. They sound cute;) Of course, look at who made them.

I wrote something in another thread, and it got me thinking about H&H's kids. Then I changed topics and POOF!, this thread was here. Cool or what?

Two. I think most HH-ers agree on that, anyways. I say one boy and one girl.

I think the boy MUST have the James, but not as a first name. Imagine the kid winds up having black hair and brown eyes, it would hurt some people just by looking at him and then calling him "James". I shudder at the thought. Anyways, everytime I think of Harry's son, I keep thinking "Benjamin". Who knows why, I don't even like the name that much. But "Benjamin James Potter" has a nice ring to it, I guess. Li'l Ben

As for the girl, I'm thinking Helen, but I've got myself convinced that the name of Hermione's mother is Helena, so that might not be a good idea. Something French, maybe? Marie? Christine? Charlotte is good, too. Just not Lily.

Girl first, girl first! I know I'm biased (I'm older than my brother), but I really think it's the best arrangement.

4) What do you think they would look like?

Well, I think their kids will be (pardon the weird use of the word) multicolored. From what I remember from my Biology class, hair color isn't about which-gene-goes-with-which-color, but about how much pigment each gene can direct a cell to produce. So, if they already have red, black, brown, and since I'm convinced one of Hermione's parents MUST be blonde, they can easily have any of those colors for their children's hair. As for eye color, that's different-- I'm guessing one of the kids will have green eyes. I don't know about the other one.

Severus? I don't think that's a bad name, but I always thought that name would be better for Draco's kid, since in my opinion, he's kinda like his father.

Well, like everyone says, two is the ideal number. One boy, one girl, blah blah... Though who should be older? I'm not sure. All of my friends have an older brother except for like...2. I have an older brother too. I think an older sister would be interesting for a change. Goodness, I'm horrible with names. But looking over other people's responses, Elisabeth and Benjamin Potter do sound pretty snazzy.

Ahh, looks. I really like green eyes. My friend's parents have brown and green eyes and hers are still light green. Hazel eyes are okay too...it's like blending both of them. As for hair color...it would probably be dark brown. Of course, this is all by combining both genes. But of course, one is going to be more prominent than the other. Anyway, I think one of them should have brown hair and green eyes and the other can have black hair and brown eyes. Hehe.

Okay, I'm not sure about their kids. But when I was talking about it with my friend, Katie, it was funny because she said: "If Harry and Hermione had children, they'd be SUPER WIZARD CHILDREN!" sorry, that sounds funny...but they would be!

I agree with Kristen, the boy's name would be James. There is just something about that name that I like. Can't quite put my finger on what it is though

For the girl... Umm, Lily would be a nice sweet name, but I think it'd be very cliche to name them both after the dead parents. And in my mind James is the priority name.

Something sweet, yes, but I think her nature will be very Hermione-like, so she probably wont be able to retain an air of sweetness for long. There is something about Hermione which makes me think that her daughter would become very much like her.

As for the son, I think Harry would at least save him from turning out the way Hermione might want him... And he'd definitely make sure he didn't become a younger version of Percy. I'm sure the little kid would become a mischief maker

No more than two, *maybe* three kids - if one of the births was say, a set of twins. Hermione's definitely not a Molly Weasley in this regard. A daughter and a son... if just one kid, a daughter, though there is that selfish part of me that wants to see the Potter name continue.

For some reason, I'm thinking they would want/have a daughter first - maybe because I've got the impression that fathers tend to spoil their daughters a little more, and I'd love to see Harry doing that. *g* Or maybe it's a certain H/Hr conversation in one of the latest chapters of PL... Harry's line of logic there (a son of his would have a harder time living up to his father's legacy) I can certainly understand. For some reason I see the girl taking after Harry and the boy taking after Hermione temperamentally. *shrugs*

What they'd look like... well, as a green-eyed brunette, I'm admittedly biased toward one of their kids looking like that. I'd love to see Lily's red hair in there somewhere too.

Names... I like the names James and Lily, but part of me thinks it's very cliché to directly name the kids after his parents. As a middle name, maybe... I'm not sure about as a first name. I stink in the naming area, so I'm not saying any more about it.

Well in the only fic I've written so far where they have kids, they have four

They had Caitlyn first, and then 11-12 years later (read the fic to find out why so many years later) they had Colin James.

Then like 5-6 years after that, Hermione became pregnant again, and they had Carl William and Corinne Elizabeth, Carl named after our own HarryNZ and Corinne after my cousin Twas only supposed to be a girl, but then I made it twins

I'd like Lady Aeryn's take of it, Harry spoiling his daughter would be a wonderful thing to do... Which makes me wonder, would Harry, considering his childhood, make a good father?

Would he know nothing of what to do as afather because he has not learnt from a father while he was a child, or would he try extra hard to be a good dad considering how bad his youth was? Or would he be some variation of this... It really puzzles me what sort of a father Harry would turn out like.

Two kids

girl first. her name should be Alexandra Lily Potter.
The boy should be Julian James Potter.

The girl will have wild black hair. light complextion. Hermione's (from movie) facial structure. and bright green eyes.

The boy will be a carbon copy of Harry, except the eyes. He'll have Hermione's eyes. So he will look exactly like his grandfather.

As for Harry's abilities as a father, I think he will go over board and be the exact opposite of how the Dursley's treated him. He'll be perfect.

I think Harry will be a great father. He'll be insecure, though, since he has no idea if he's being a good or a bad father, he had no role model, after all. Maybe, since he grew up having nothing, he'll try to give his kids everything he can... sometimes even giving them too much. I'm sure he'll spoil those kids waaaayyy too much... lucky we have Hermione to put them in check, then Lucky kids, I say.

I'm thinking that they'd have two kids (that was sure an original thought). I'm going to depart from the norm, though and say the girl will come first. She'll have Hermione's hair and hazel kind of eyes, midway between green and brown. I've always been partial to the name Laura, not completely sure why. Anyhow the boy will probably be quite a lot like Harry, and I guess James has to be either his first or middle name.

On another note, the girl-first thing has great story potential. You see, men figure that daughters are God's revenge on us, as we'll live in complete fear that they'll meet a boy like us when we were that age. It gives us the willies just thinking about it.

I think Harry will be a wonderful father. I think he'd try to make his kids childhood everything that his wasn't... by giving them lots of TLC!

And I agree, he'd spoil them and probably be a bit overprotective....but for good reasons!

I'm impartial to names but I strongly favour Boy-Girl order.
Its just better that way, the big brother, slightly youger sister...
But thats from personal experience... I believe builds stronger character for the boy since he's eldest... and the girl will be spoiled anyhow... however since theyre like 2yrs apart they'll be very close..

Harry and Hermione will deffinately have two children. As usally stated, one boy and one girl. I think that the boy will come first, followed closely by the girl.
Names...I am unsure of names....
maybe James Broderick or James as a middle name. maybe Noah or Spencer. lol no i don't think Spencer would be a good name. lol

As for looks, I want to son to follow in the footsteps of the potter men. Handsome, wild, black hair, and the amazing smile. As far as eyes, I am torn....I want the green eyes....maybe hazel.

BTW.....I am brand new.....I just recently started to find the wonder that is Harry Potter and am in the process of reading the fourth book for the first time. But I LOVE Harry and Hermione together.....i wouldn't have it any other way.
I am new to all of this, so please do not get annoyed if i do not know a term or ask for help with the simplest things lol =)

Well... er... I'm not set on the names yet, except James.

Two, or one. But I usually go for two. I'm afraid I have to go towards the other road in having the girl first then the boy. I don't know why. Maybe I'm just used to it, because well, I'm an only child, I can't really imagine older brothers too much.

The boy would be James. And he'd look like his dad, except with the eyes. It's Hermione's eyes. ::giggles:: I kinda picture him as this sweet little James-look-a-like, except more studious.

The girl would either be named Lily or Elizabeth with Lily as a middle name (::laughs nervous:: and when Lily's her first name, Elizabeth is her middle...) and she'd have eyes Harry... Oh and brown hair but messier than Hermione's hair..

I've haven't thought about it too much, honestly!

well i've always thought that they would have two or three kids. the first would have to be a boy and look exactly like Harry except for the hair that would be brown. the second would be a girl that looks like Hermione except for the eyes which she gets from Harry. i'm not sure about the third kid it could go either way.

Am i the only one who thinks that the sister should come first? or perhaps this is based on personal emotions from myself. I agree ELiza or Elizbeth would be a great name, but i think the boy's name should be well, should sound royal and heavy. I guess as a comic relief..

What about step children? I mean, Harry and Hermione obviously wont realize their feelings for each other instantly. Love does have to be wielded after all. Despite the fidelity crap, Love is companionship , friendship and of course, the chemistry between the two. I believe that they will be in subsequent amounts of relationships (prior to Harry) .

As for their step children, maybe a boy and a girl. Harris Potter and Hannah Weasley (whatever Hermione's ex would be).But of course Hermione and Harry will have to have children together, what are they without kids? yeah, lower blood pressure.

It will be fun to read about someone so much like Harry and someone so much like Hermione living in the same house. Maybe , love will even bloom between the two? The fight against prejudice will again prevail, for I know a lot of people are against intimate relatioships between step siblings (and I'm sorry if I offenced you in any way). If you look at it in my preception, I think those two will resemble Harry and Hermione's precedent, they are after all against prejudice (anti muggles).

I don't really have a preference as to how many children they have, as long as it's more than one and they at least have one of each. I certainly don't think that they'll have a ton of children, like say 6 or higher, but I think considering how Harry grew up he will want to have a large family.

As for names, I've always loved Benjamin (Ben), Joshua (Josh) and James for the boys names, perhaps even Harry Jr. As for girls, I think Elizabeth, Emma, or Emily. I think Lily is a really pretty name--a middle name? It would be too cliche to name their children James and Lily. (Those fics where they have twins and name them James and Lily make me mad... )

I semi-agree. I think that whatever they had first, would be named James/Lily. But then if they had a child of the other sex after, I don't think they would choose the other name. It's a little... weird, don't you think?

Well I always saw them having a James, but I always refrained from the Lily too.. I don't know, it also might be a little weird if you and your sister were named after two lovers... lol

But for a girl name I always liked Tara.. the only reason really I guess is because its an Irish name and so am I. William is alright too. I think I like Will because of Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials (Great series by the way )

Difficult question. I would also believe they would name them after their parents. But it could always be something else.

I put very smart....just, cause. Yeah, a combination of the above traits most likely.

I voted... Messy Hair, because if thier like Harry, or Hermione even all Harry's gold wouldn't be enough to buy all the hair care products they would need in that house, so the kids are destined to have messy hair.

They'll probably break all the rules Harry or Hermione, lay down for them because of thier love of adventure, and they'd smart enough to find loopholes in the rules or not be caught. The house would blow up in a week.
