Title: Nighttime
Author Name: Joyce Cohen
Category: H/Hr
Point of view: Harry's

Nighttime – the perfect time
For contemplation, reflection, introspection
Sitting by the fireplace
With a mug of hot chocolate
Rich, dark chocolate
Just like your eyes
Eyes that I could drown in
Lose myself in, find my soul in
For you are my soul
You support me, console me, complete me
If only I could tell you that
But no, you won't respond in kind
I don't deserve you, won't deter you
From your heart’s true course
But wait, I've seen you gaze at me
The way I gaze at you
You're smart; you'll realize it, too
One day, you'll find me sitting here
In the lonesome nighttime
And no longer be alone
One day, someday, soon

Twilight

The summer’s sun rises for you
A dawning upon a new morning
The dead of winter left behind
And new life is born wanting

Still day beneath the sun high
Golden rays present in your eyes
Auburn hair blows in the wind
Eternity of bliss as the world sighs

You and I neath the summer moon
Wrapped in a blanket of twilight
Unrivaled by even the stars above
You are perfect on this perfect night

We will meet again in dreams
A parting kiss before we leave
And as the moon rises above
I bid farewell to you my love

Title:Could I Die For You?

Hermione

Could I die for you?
You asked me that last night.
I lay beside you, listening to you breathe,
Watching moon and shadows on your skin,
Pitch black and silver white.

A moment passed
You waited patiently.
Silence crept on
Until the answer came to me.

I looked up
And glimpsed your emerald eyes
I gathered up my wits
And this was my reply:

Could I die for you?
Would I, should I,
Haven't I a thousand times?
Each time you're injured, when you're lost
And when I know you need to cry.

Every time I look at you
And see the pain of life's trials
See the weight of the world
Resting on your shoulders
Even as "They" call you a liar.

Every time I think
You're gone forever
That I've lost it all
That I can't return
To those harsh things remembered.

You keep me sane.
You make me strong.
You make me bold.
You let me know
It's here with you that I belong.

I'm yours forever
I'll answer true,
Yes my Harry,
I could die for you.

After my reply
I turned back to your gaze
And whispered quietly
"Could you Harry,
could you die for me?"

Harry

Could I die for you?
You asked in quiet tones.
I breathed you in
As I thought about
An answer of my own.

As I looked down
On brown and bushy hair
I felt your breath upon my skin
And suddenly
The answer was there:

Without question
Without reason, without thought.
My grasp on sanity
A ribbon
Your life, your love the knot.

You've bound me to you
Body, heart and soul
There's no escaping
But if there were
I'd never want to go.

You keep me balanced
My life in check.
You love me completely
And always
Always treat me with respect.

I love you beyond time
Beyond matter, beyond space.
The way you look
The way you smile
The way you part life's purple haze.

You say I'm gifted
That my heart is true
Then know without hesitation
I could, I would die for you.

But in this moment
Where it's just us two
I'll give you an even bigger promise,
Hermione, my love
I will live for you.

Title: Longest Summer
Author Name: purple_mud
Category: Harry and Hermione
Point of view: Harry's

This longest summer
stretches on and on.

I'm trapped again
underneath
the cupboard stairs.

At night I think of you,
the warmth of your smile
almost lost to me.

And to remember,
I write you hundreds of letters
you'll never see.

I tell you all the things
trapped and battling inside
of me.

I want you to know them all
but I'm afraid of telling you
every single pain,
every burning rage.

I have spilled ink
on my bed;
parchment
scattered on the floor;
broken, bitten quills
tucked in every corner
of my room.

Words spiral around my head,
I love you, I'll keep you
safe, forever, mine.
All mine.

I end up writing your name
on my pillow, on my walls
if I could write it on my skin
I will.

This longest summer
goes on and on.

I want to go home
back where I'd find you:

at the library,
reading one of your many books;
at the common room,
curled up, warmed by the fire.

I dream of you sometimes
and it helps to heal
the little wounds
but it makes me ache
so much more.

In the morning, I know
I have a thousand
more days to go.

I miss you already.

Er, well. That's it. Quite short and a bit (a bit?) pointless but I had to submit it. The voice inside my head won't shut up. And I'm really scared of that voice, it sounds awfully just like me, but I swear it's not me...

Title: Loving A Stranger
Author Name: meso.moony

Point of view: Harry

Wanting and waiting, wandering and wavering,
I wonder if ever, I’ll awake from this dream.
I may wait here forever, for never is ever,
For never is ever, in my life, it seems.

I haven’t yet seen your sparkling eyes,
Be they shining like fireflies, or hate and despise.
Nor the laughter and tears, or the love in the lies.
Or the delight and happiness in a pleasant surprise.

As of right now, I don’t know if we’ve met
If not, I'm not sure if I’m ready just yet.
You see, love is a razor-sharp knife,
It carves beautiful pictures, but can scar you for life.

Under the scintillating stars, good times we will share,
I am your star; even if you can’t see me, I will be there.
Because faith isn’t faith if you rely on your sight,
I’ll stay with you in darkness to be your light.

I’m sorry for every time I’ve given my heart away,
It’s been returned broken before, but I can truthfully say,
That I've put the pieces back together and it’s as good as new,
And this time, I’ll be holding on to it until I find you.

I hope that we will find each other some day,
Until that happens, I’ll remember to pray,
That through all times, we’ll continue to rise.
Because the truth is, I’m scared.
Yes, love is like a rose, but a rose always dies.
