But I'd pick Pansy, because she and Draco seem like they've been put together by their parents or they can at least tolerate each other, and Pansy definitely cares about Draco to some degree in canon (dont feel like getting proof now, but I've seen the proof before).

Of course, my ideal ship is D/G, and I do think that it's very possible for D/G in canon, so I naturally pick Ginny.

Which means: Ginny or Pansy? Ginny. If not, Pansy.

And I voted for the Ginbug.

I had just finished reading Unaffected by CliodnaHPfan (she started the fic on PK, but had to remove it because it contradicted the H/Hr ship). I'm a big fan of her's, and went to read it on her own website

Draco/Pansy is really more likely to happen, but there are several psychological phenomenons that might make me simply overlook Draco/Pansy, if it ever happened. I might pretend that Pansy was Ginny, or just ignore her, or...

I disagree with this, Chammy. She comes off in canon as a bit clingy, if anything. But an idiot? Whenever she's mean to Harry & Co., I thnk she may come off a smidge annoying, but doesn't Draco as well? Hermione calls her a 'cow' in OoP, but I guess everyone is seeing something I'm not - as I never remember Pansy ever doing anything really idiotic. I think fanon has taken her character and sort of run with it -- as we are often likely to do -- and we're beginning to focus our opinions on those sentiments more than JKR's writing.

Pansy really isn't soooooo terrible, I don't think. Draco doesn't seem to mind her all too much.

So yeah, I mean, I still voted Ginny.

But if not, it won't be the end of the world, and it certainly won't be the end of fanfiction.

That's right, yes. Personally I don't really like idiotic!Pansy, and hope that I never made her be that in any of my fics. Even Crabbe and Goyle are more intelligent in canon than most people make them out to be in fanon. *rants on and on*

Ri, who was been told that she's a Slytherin in every single quiz/test she has ever taken, even in ones that just give you your house randomly, like on www.hp-fc.de (a German fanclub that asks you what your favourite colour is and the number of your siblings, when you sign up. A friend of mine ticked exactly the same answers as I did, and she was told that she was a Gryffindor)

You know, Daniela... You're a very eye opening gal. Before I read your post, I was pretty much indifferent to Pansy. She was a Slytherin, so I didn't mind her, but I didn't really care about her all that much either.

But after reading your post, I realized that I kind of like her more than I thought. I mean, if Draco tolerates her, she can't be all bad, right?

And it seems like her heart is in the right place, she's just not the nicest girl in the world. But then again, neither is Draco.

But don't worry, I, of course, voted Ginny. No debate here.
