As previously stated, the first round of the Portkey Readers' Choice Awards is reader nominations. In this thread, nominate eligible fics and authors for the awards of:

As a brief refresher, a fic is eligible if it is hosted here at Portkey and was completed within the 6-month interval before December 31 (the date of the close of nominations). Authors nominated in the "Best New Author" category must have posted their first fic at Portkey in that same interval.

I'm just posting to comment on some things I've noticed about some of the previously nominated fics.

Ashes nominated two fics that are not hosted at Portkey.org, therefore those fics are ineligible. The rules specifically state that eligible fanfics must be posted at portkey, and must have been completed within 6 months of the closing of these nominations.

Also, hpcho13's nomination belongs in the Novel-Length (AU) category, due to the fact that the whole series of those fics (Again, My Sacrifice, and the current wip, No Place That Far) are AU because Sirius Black is in them. Enough said there, I think.

ETA: Noticed that phoenixwriter nominated the same fic I did in terms of novel length, but put it in JKR universe, it has OotP spoilers, however also has Sirius, so there fore belongs in AU, where I put it. Thanks!
