I am 19. Will be 20 next year. I'm sorry I didn't get to reply before, but was enjoying reading fics a bit way too much

Short: I am 6.1. I am VERY tall compared to my family. Coming from a indian background, it is a bit on the tall side.

I am taller than my 29 year old brother

-- almost a head. My mother... well... She is very tiny

I think one of the oldest fandom members is at SugarQuill.net. I remember them making a post when the person reached 80 something (might have been 90) .. or something really high.

I am glad to have TC and Romulus and older guys in the fandom

It's very hard to find guys who write fanfics really well, and can write smuttiness.

I turned 18 back in January, January 29 to be exact. I don't think age matters a bit when it comes to Harry Potter, so I can proudly say that I'll one day be like the person at SugarQuill who turned 80 or 90, although I'll be shouting about Harry and Hermione as I bang my cane against my wheelchair and hope my false teeth don't fall out. Then the nice people at the nursing home will probably remove my books from my frail hands and lead me gently back to my room. Now that you all know where I see myself in 60-70 years...
I'm not sure when the height thing started, but I felt like I'd contribute. I'm one of the taller ones here, I think: I'm 6'4". In my family, that's not really unusual because you're either ridiculously tall or short and stocky, and since we all have red hair, it's really like the Weasleys, only we aren't all of the male variety and there's this stepdad guy thrown in about.
There really are a lot more girls than guys in our happy little fandom, aren't there?
--Albert, who believes age ain't nothing but a number, unless of course one is refering to Emma Watson, which much to his regret is horribly, horribly illegal

Wow I'm so surprised, I was almost ashamed to tell people that I'm obsessed with the Harry Potter books before.

Yay! I thought I was old !!(with all the respect) I'm only 16!! Maybe because here in mexico, the reader's ages are between 8-14
I'm glad there are so many people of so many ages!!
I'm a hopless romancer (someone said that in a post, but I don't rembember who did!), I have to confess that I'm not the mature kind! But still, think love has to be something you really feel!! And that all things are meant to be (H/Hr!!!)

Hey all!
I'll be 15 the day after Christmas!!
(poor me huh?)
I feel young here!!!!
I very much agree with the fact that H/Hr fans are older and tend to read the books more thourouly (spelling?)
I also think (and maybe this is being biased, but its what Ive noticed) that H/Hr fans are much more mature, intelligent and read-between-the-lines-y then Ron/Hermione fans.
Maybe im imagining it but I dont think so *grin*
I think its fine for older people to read these!! Everyone in my highschool does, even the people who usually hate reading. So its not like a loserish thing to do (its just loserish to read and write fan fiction, and go on HP message boards, which is why I keep that quiet lol)

I turned 14 on July 28th. Yay my birthday is very close to both Harry Potters and Dan Radcliffes birthdays. Go me! Heh, It's actually scary seeing people glare jealously at you as you walk by because you fall into the category for the very few who are younger then Dan but older then Harry.

guess I'm just lucky that way. Last time I checked I was 5'3 if anyone actually cares anymore

I just turned 20 in July. Is it me or does turing 20 make you feel old? I think it has something to do with not having the word teen in my age anymore.
Oh well.
The reason I love H/Hr is because Ive had to many relationships like R/Hr and believe me they all ended up being nightmares. For about 2 months they're fun but after that we just wanted to kill each other.

Oh, I feel old, and I'm only 22. The Unknown Street Kid, according to my 14-year-old stepsister, people in hs do think hp is for kids, but most secretly read them anyway. Don't worry, though - when you're my age you can talk about it in bars in a kind of ironic 'I'm just appreciating pop culture' kind of way.

Ha!
Juanita - don't worry about being too old, or un-cool to be an HP fan. I'm a 33-year-old who frequently and eagerly discusses HP with my friends from work and grad school. We all made bets on the OOTP death. None of us got it right.
One of my friends even SMS'd* me on midnight of Jun 21. She knew I had just read OOTP, so she wanted to know who had died. She SMS'd me 3X as she couldn't stand the suspense. I told her I'd lend her my book rather than give away THAT spoiler.

when he/she logs in. On my computer, only my name appears in purple. But I see it in plain colors when I just lurk.

It's to let you know that the post has something that relates to you specifically. I will be making it a bit more obvious ^.^ People don't seem to get that their name gets hightlighted, because it's too close to the black writing. Hmm.. maybe a horrible yellow background would be good.

[FONT=Times] Hi
I'm almost 16. Ok not quite, my birthday's not until January, but I'll continue to tell myself that I'm really 16. Anyway, I was actually surprised to see the ages of all the people here. I expected more people younger than I am, not that I thought only little kids read HP. You'd be surprised how many older people can hold lengthy conversations about their own ships, even if they don't know that the term to use is ship. I'm glad to see so many people of different ages can come together about something we all have in common. I honestly don't know that many people who haven't read at least one HP, and most of those that have love it. Not quite as much as I do I guess...lol
