How come there aren't any Hermione/Ron pairing in this site? I've trying to find stories or forums about it and I haven't find anything.

I know Hermione/Harry is here, so that means you CAN'T make a Hermione/Ron pairing?

I'd like if osmeone explain this to me....

Ummm...other shippers are allowed to visit here too. But, all the fanfiction that's archived is strictly Harry/Hermione, Lily/James, Draco/Ginny, and Ron/Luna. You won't find any R/Hr here. You might want to try Fiction Alley or SugarQuill.

This site is exclusive to Harry/Hermione, Lily/James, Ginny/Draco, and Ron/Luna fics. This means that we do not host any other fics or forums that deal with any other pairings out there in fandom.

Yes, not everyone who ships Harry/Hermione ships the rest of the ships that are hosted here, so we get people from all ships throughout the site. They however have to go to other sites to fulfill those other ships because we do not host them.

No Ron/Hermione here! Do a google for the pairing, and you'll find R/Hr sites, but portkey.org and pumpkinpie.org are definitely for H/Hr shippers. Except for spies like me

Like everyone's said, this is most definitely not an R/Hr site. Post if you want on the debate threads, but please don't start making all these R/Hr Forever topics or replies because Portkey is the one place on the web where H/Hr shippers can gather in peace and squee together and discuss the beautiful H/Hr relationship. Personally, I urge you to go to Sugar Quill or maybe Mugglenet (I had to take a jab at Mugglenet for posting those two ridiculous articles about R/Hr secretly dating)...

Well like the others said; you won't find any R/Hr on this site. We try to keep as little of it as possible on the threads because this is a shipping site and our views on these ships are often in strong contrast with R/Hr and H/G views.

Now you may be wondering why we can't have both on the site since people shouldn't have to choose one or the other when visiting such a GREAT site like Portkey The reason is that, in addition to there being other sites that deal with this sort of thing, I think the main reason is due to shipping wars. On this site we like to post our feelings and proof of why, for example, Harry and Hermione should/will be together. Obviously if we were also a R/Hr board there would be people against this and would post thier views in repsonse. In a perfect world this would be fine but we've seen this lead to many cases of bashing and rudeness, hence the term "shipping war."

Sorry but if you're looking for R/Hr all I can say is to try another site. We don't have anything against the other ships, and hope they feel the same about ours, but there's no possiblity of finding it here.

No. sorry about that. But if this site was a Ron and Hermione shipping site; my heart would probably be broken. I Think my friends of portky had explained to you the reasons in their post. So basically they have told you why and i agree with them . Hermione and Harry forever!!!!

Might as well close this thread. I PM'd Khayfer some R/Hr links to Khayfer, anyway (soon after he posted). Not that I bother hitting those sites '-)

Well, Portkey can neither host the fic nor the ficlet nor the cookie. Because Portkey is inherently H/Hr only. That is the primary ship. The others were added at the request of the users. First I'm not here to diss Draco or Ginny but I'd like to know why there's only specific couples. Like why isn't there Hermione/Ron fics or Hermione/Draco fics. Either I can't find them on this site or this site just doesn't have those kinds of ships. See ya around

I'm not too sure, since I haven't been on this forum for terribly long, but I think the members decided to vote on which ships they wanted to have on this forum. (: I don't think anyone is going to attack you on this forum, though! *lol*

This is a H/Hr,G/D and L/J shipping sites. So what ever you read here will end in one of thos couples while it mite not start like that.

And L/R is also a ship here.

You know that there are more people out there that like different couples besides Harry/Hermione, Draco/Ginny, Ron/Luna & Lily/James. I don't usually post in the shipping areas because none of them spark my interest. (I'm a Ron/Hermione shipper myself.)
There should be at least one more ship area other than the ones already on here. The question is...which one?

Portkey is a site in support of H/Hr, J/L, D/G, and R/L, so right now I think it's fine. I doubt R/H would ever be put on here as it would cause too many issues and arguments. But, I think McGonagall and Dumbledore would be cool. Most stories would have to be written from when they were young ones though, they're a bit along in age. But I've always thought there was something between them.

It would be cool if there were another couple added, but none of the above, please. The only one of those I kind-of like is Harry/Luna, but we have R/Lu and H/Hr so it would be a tad contradictory.

I would have voted R/Hr, but you're right, it would cause way too many problems.

Personally, I think Tom & Ginny (Gin n Tonic is my guilt ship ) should be added. And I know a few people who ship them here, too. I might be contradictory, but it's an awesome ship, and we're not allowed to bash, now, are we? Plus, all the people I know who ship T/G are D/G shippers, including me.

If the site adds in some of the suggested choices it would contradict what i already shipped here. This site is kind of a safe haven for these kind of shippers. It would destroy this calamity if we add anymore.

But different shippers are always welcome to post.

Well...at this point, I don't see Portkey adding any more ships. But, maybe that's just me. Personally, I think the current ships are just fine. Of course, other shippers are welcome. Adding more ships that contradict our current ones would not be a good idea at all. It would cause way too many problems.

Secondly, to answer your question, this is a shipping site. It is not a general Harry Potter fan site, it ships specific ships and thus confines it to such content. PK was created for the H/Hr, D/G, L/J, and R/LL shippers. We welcome other ships peacefully, but it the site is firmly dedicated to the ones listed.

You can't double ship.. well I mean, you personally can, but it wouldn't make sense for this to be Harry/Hermione if there were also Harry/Luna, as well as Ron/Luna.. that takes away from the fact that this is a specific shipping site.

Having said that, I think the ships are fine.

This is my first time on Portkey, mainly because i was searching for an author that moved for fanfiction.net, please forgive me if i've post this up in the wrong section

Why don't you have draco/hermione section in fanfiction?????
More people would join portkey if you did, and I'd really like to post my draco/hermione story here.
Is there any chance of putting that in here?

I believe the chance of Draco/Hermione appearing here is precisely zero since it contradicts with the H/Hr ship (just like H/G, H/L, R/Hr contradicts with all the other ships listed so they don't appear here either)

Portkey is a ship oriented site. We are primarily a H/Hr site. We wouldn't host other ships than the ones we currently carry. We may add more ships as canon progresses, but we wouldn't be adding ships that would contradict H/Hr. That is the main focus of the site.
