Well, the price that comes with the chat script coming so early is that we hadn't decided which script we would settle on. The most important factor being considered is bandwidth, and I think the chat system in place is rather intensive when it comes to that. We're going to test another alternative before we settle on a chat.

The issue I have with shoutbox is that it reloads *all* messages every few seconds, instead of just reloading new messages. Therefore the bandwidth consumption is rather immense, and that has been reflected by an increase in bandwidth usage.

I hope that users of the site will be patient while we test the various systems available.
