I'd like to know if you think that Harry getting with Ginny is a good idea!

I think that it's a good idea but maybe she should get with Draco... ARRGGHH! I just can't make up my mind! Help me...

*laughs* Well, obviously I think she belongs with Draco. Harry is a great character, but he does nothing for Ginny. Their relationship is so bland and just too....too easy. Whereas Draco and Ginny have all these lovely complications and have the whole Darcy/Elizabeth thing going on. It's much more entertaining and passionate.

Of all the HP characters, I much prefer Draco with Ginny, although I really, really, really dislike Ginny that I prefer that she be ... dead instead! In fact, I've always felt she should have been the Weasley to have died in DH instead of poor hapless George.

Interesting that you say that Harry does nothing for Ginny. I agree. It was NOT a match made in Heaven at all! I think Harry needed the Weasleys and since he couldn't link up romantically with Ron, Ginny was the next best thing! Seriously though, Harry just isn't suited for Ginny. She isn't suited for him. Like Ron and Hermione, Harry and Ginny are like oil and water!

Well, I much prefer fanon!Ginny over canon!Ginny. HBP onwards she got a bit annoying, or at least just kind of blegh. That has nothing to do with the fact that Harry started taking an interest in her either. I just felt her character lost something that it had pre-HBP.

In any case, I don't know if I would say that Ginny and Harry are like oil and water, but I do feel that their relationship is definitely lacking. For me the big problem is that there is just no excitement. Like I said, it's too easy. He takes an interest in her finally, and then she immediately accepts him. There's just nothing to it. Even the combination of their personalities makes things bland. *shrugs*

I do agree with you that Harry needs the Weasleys, and it is as if he just got tossed at Ginny because she was conveniently situated as the only girl in the family, and just happened to be close to his age. Meh. It's so boring even thinking about it.
