I've been lurking around Portkey for over a month, and just now I gathered enough nerve to participate.

I've been shipping H/Hr ever since I watched PoA. Dunno why, they just made more sense to me than R/Hr. Even now, after I read the books, and The Epilogue, I ship them.

Well, I hope I fit in.

Welcome to PK! Don't worry about fitting in; we're a very diverse crowd here.
I personally started shipping after reading the first five books (it took about a week; I sat down and burned through all five that were then available) but that PoA movie... goodness. Amazing, wasn't it? And the trio was only, what, about fourteen? Emma was in her element. biggrin.gif

I applaud your bravery for signing up! It took me a while, too.
Have fun and can't wait to chat!

Hi! Welcome to PK! I like H/Hr since the first book but yeah, PoA really made me decide that I'll ship H/Hr... It's like 'whoa, they are great together' rather than with Ron.. so yeah.. You'll enjoy your stay here!! grin.gif

ayumi! Welcome to the dark side, my dear. twisted.gif J/K! We all know, H/Hr is actually the light. We saw it--yes we did--but when JK shot it across the room, she ducked and never got hit. She missed it.

paperbag3.gif: Yep, that's exactly what happened. Hi, I'm Applesauce--c&m's doppelganger. bye1.gif

Anyway, welcome! Don't worry, PK-ers don't bite. We're all very, very, very nice people. yes.gif

I admire your courage. You say you've been lurking around PK for over a month? Well, I've lurked around PK for years and I found the courage to join in the PK-Fun only after 4 years. LOL. I might as well be sorted in Gryffindor for my sheer bravery, huh?

Oh, well. I'm here now. thumbsup.gif

I have a question for you, dear. Are you a Ginny-basher? Don't worry, there's no wrong answer. I'm just curious.

pizza.gif Want some?

Well, c&m, no, I don't bash her (I don't think I dislike any character, they all have some kind of appeal to me). BUT I don't particulary like her either, she didn't get enough scenes to make me like/dislike her. She's just... there.

So, you could say, I'm okay with her, period.

Oh, okay. Neutral. Nice, I like it. thumbsup.gif

Just asking. whistling.gif

Hi ayumi-nb! It's great to have you here.

Don't worry, we don't bite. msn-wink.gif

PoA is really a great movie for Harmony shippers. I especially love the showdown (I count everything after Harry and Hermione using the time turner as showdown). During these scenes you see how much Harry and Hermione care for each other. There's this scene in which Harry stands in front of Hermione, making clear that he would rather die than let anything happen to her. Or the scene on Buckbeak's back. Hermione hates flying, but she climbed on the back of a Hippogriff without a second thought because she knew Harry needed her help to save Sirius. Oh, and I love the scene in which Hermione kneels in front of Harry and tries to comfort him after he found out that Sirius was James' and Lily's friend.

Sorry, that was a little off topic, but I love this movie so much. oops.gif

Anyway, welcome to Portkey. smile.gif

By the way: "just there" is a very fitting description of Ginny in my opinion. She never did anything that was interesting enough to make me form a real opinion about her. That's probably why there are so huge differences in the way fanfic authors portray her. We know next to nothing about Ginny from the books, so each author basically invents her character new.
ayumi-nb
Haha biggrin.gif Yes, the scenes after they use the time turner in PoA, are one of the best moments in the series.
