While we expect it to reach only 0.000001% of its book 7-era levels, it's still nice to have that option available for members who'd want to use it. We're presently working on not one, not two, but FOUR interviews to be issued from mid-October until March next year. Drumroll please ...


Our upcoming PK Spotlight issues would feature:

Ahn Na Blue - best known for her fiction

Harrys Mistress - extremely popular for her stories

Stefy - greatly missed for her art

AdamantEve aka Anna or DeliverMeFromEve - greatly missed for her fics and witty posts




Yep, we've spoken with each of them, we've confirmed they're the same people we've known and loved all these years. All interviews are at various stages of (in)completion. We haven't finalized yet which feature would come ahead of the others, but rest assured they'd be out starting middle of this month.


Please post on this thread any questions you've got for them. Be sure to indicate which of them should get your question. However, let's give them the prerogative to skip any question, without need for explanations.

If you wanna say here how overjoyed you are to hear from them, then you may have the floor.

While this announcement obviously takes out the element of surprise, we think it's worthwhile informing our members who've been visiting PK only once in a while. This notice oughta be reason enough for them to check in here more often.

Btw, we'd really love to interview plenty more people. However, lots of factors come into play, so please be patient. We've got lots more names in our "people we'd like to interview" list but we're devoting our first 5 or so issues to those who haven't been interviewed yet in similar projects like The Anvil E-zine's "Harmonian of the Month" and Harmony Podcasts.** We're also prioritizing those who haven't been PK staff at some point. We would feature some from both groups in due time. At any rate, we're sure they wouldn't mind letting others have their moment in the sun.

**We mean no disrespect for these projects. In fact, we got this PK Spotlight idea from The Anvil's "Harmonian of the Month" project.

You're welcome to volunteer to interview your favorite PK-er (other than yourself ). *hint hint* Likewise, you're also welcome to assist us in wrapping up these three interviews.

Re AdamantEve:

Anna's been quiet since '08 so it's great to hear from her. Newyn sent her an invite through PK's email, then I sent a PM, then Pam (Scout) forwarded our messages by LJ. How could Anna get out of that triple-team? Pam was even prepared to contact her by twitter or personal email.

Newyn's started doing the research, amid dealing with flights, storms, flash floods and panic buying in groceries. <-- "Rain or shine" sounds so tame compared to that.


Re Harrys Mistress (HM):

To borrow Poison's words, she and Jediyoda are "more than honored"** to interview HM as they're huge fans of her stories. We've sent prelim questions to HM tonight - Sunday night for the three of us. We're all lucky that HM hasn't left the fandom, so let's show her love while she's here!

**Poison's (Farrah) actual words were "OMGOMGG!! I would be more than honored to do this!!!" Doesn't that speak volumes about HM?


Re Ahn Na Blue:

Well, she's always been a lurker in the forums. She went quiet after Book 7, but she visited PK again this year. Another queen of writing angst and a promising pro novelist. Very nice and patient with the delays in our interview process. Got news to share with what kept her busy since DH. Our interview doesn't do her talent justice; I hope you guys make up for that up by adding follow-up questions.


Re Stefy:

Jorael's assisting me with Stefy's interview, 'cos I suck at asking questions particularly about art. I emailed Stefy in March (about something else) then in May we project staff started looking for her for this interview. At that time, she last logged in PK forums in Feb 2008. We did find a lead of her uploading a non-HP drawing elsewhere in Feb '09. We put off following through that lead though, as we had our hands full with other interviewees and PK tasks at that time.

While interviewing Ahn Na, Stefy's name came up, so we checked if she (Stefy) logged in PK recently. Imagine our joy at seeing that she did log in on Aug 30 and changed her email address 'cos her old address has gone dormant. Naturally we quickly PM'd and emailed her. We're not gonna wait for her to vanish again!

I'm so glad you are getting in touch with Stefy. I greatly admired her work and it's so sad that she doesn't draw HP pics anymore. Many non-Harmonians respect her work very much as well. I can not WAIT for the interview!

You're welcome to post questions here. We're not aiming for magazine-caliber questions; if we did, we couldn't sustain this project.

We're eyeing to have Stefy's interview out by the first quarter of 2010 before or after AdamantEve's. It looks like we'd have HM's issue out first, followed by Ahn Na's, then Stefy's and AdamantEve's, but that's subject to change.

cakeandmilk and Nina / Ravenclaw(d69) are now assisting us with our project (particularly with stefy's), so we'd like to thank them for that. Thanks too to the people helping newyn with AdamantEve's feature. I won't name them here lest newyn would like that to be a surprise.

We're gonna release Harrys Mistress' feature before month-end, so stay tuned! In the meantime, please take a moment to read this primer.
