I think every returning PK-er feels that way. I was sure that only Bec, Adam and Diana would remember me when I returned to PK last year. wink.gif Pretty much everyone else I knew then had left PK by that time. Ladylaughalot was gone for a long time too; we met each other when we returned to PK weeks apart. Come to think of it, it looks like she was the first one to post in this 'Welcome Back' forum when we opened it last year.

The thrill of reconnecting with old friends's usually worth the visit. biggrin.gif Stick around and you'd get in touch with them soon enough. You'd surely make new ones too.

Just dropping by to say hello...
I haven't been keeping track of HP news but I just saw movie 6. Had to come back to PK to see what everyone else thought of the movie.

I remember you. But I am not sure if anyone remembers me though. It has been a year since I last posted.....haven't even lurked much.

I had an idea that many of us were MIA, especially after the last book. I just saw the HBP movie and I thought that I would see how everyone is doing.

IF anyone remembered me, they would know I often spoke of how my father and I were the only ones that still believed in Harmony.

The whole family and others went to see the 6th movie. good ol' Dad still believes.

I wonder how everyone is doing. do we all still believe? I do.
even when the movie's romance seems better than JK's writings in the books. (ha ha, Hollywood had to make the other ships' more convincing if you ask me).

its good to be back. HH-inlove.gif

I'm not quite sure why I'm even back... I heard some friends talk about Harry Potter and got back into fanfiction.

I'm usually on deviantart anyway. Looking at Pokemon fanart. [I think this gives away my age ... which I was gonna do anyway.]

Well, I'm an oldbie who started using Portkey at the silly age of, what, eleven? Ten? I was a smart internet surfer back then. Said silly things though, I bet. But I love the community, so I joined with a new name smile.gif

That's my story, pretty much.

I like being back biggrin.gif I hope to do something useful [as in, posting] soon! As soon as college applications are over.

I'm pretty sure if I see your username and you used to be on PK at least five years ago, I'll remember you. And who doesn't remember gal-texter? O.O

Wow! You are one of those, the lucky ones who grew up with the Harry Potter books -- pre-teen when the series started and practically an adult already when they finished. You should tell us jaded ones what that was like.

laugh.gif I was away from PK myself for 3 years (Books 6 to 7 era), so when I came back here, only four people remembered me. sweatdrop.gif I felt like a newbie.

If you want to use your old PK account, try resetting its password. <-- There are instructions there for members who couldn't access their old PK account's emails.

At any rate, welcome back.

I was going to reset it but decided against it. My old name was too long [VGrl88HHr or something] laugh.gif

And thanks for the welcome back biggrin.gif

And I'd talk about how it feels like to "grow up" with the books, but I'm sure that's a topic for a new thread, not this one smile.gif

Oldbie accounts have a few more privileges than newbie ones, like using PMs, uploading avis, seeing their forum posts get displayed immediately, access to more PK forums.

I'd recommend resetting your password, then changing your display name.

We're not really strict with off-topic-ness here in many forums, at least not as strict as we used to be in '03-05. Esp in "getting to know you" topics like these "welcome to PK" and games. You could talk about growing up with HP here or in this other thread. Should we move your reply (and others') to that latter topic, it's simply because other PK-ers would be more likely to see your reply there for years to come. smile.gif
