I've been and on-and-off visitor of portkey for around 2 years, but finally decided to register and submit my fanfiction which I've recently started writing (and the first beta chapter can also be found here: http://www.gtrestoration.co.cc/in/view.php...cs&id=3856).

I've also been making a Harry/Hermione-typed site layout which will be posted in the website area of the H/Hr section, although it's technically not a website - yet.

Why thank you for the welcome. I'm from England myself, the north-west to be almost exact. And I suggest waiting until I uploaded the chapter on fanfiction.net before reading it, the link I posted (to my own site no less) is full of errors that are corrected on fanfiction.

Oh, I saw it. Thanks for the link. I like it! It's a bit dark but we are talking about Harry Potter here, anyway, so it fits.

The website layout isn't for anything specific, I just made it because I was bored.

And... I honestly don't know about my accent. I made a video once for someone on the internet and it was described as 'cute', but she was most likely being nice.

(I must second what cakeandmilk said... I love British accents. Unfortunately, I happen to live in the US and I have a sort of... non-accent. Not really Midwestern, not quite southern... sort of in the middle. But that doesn't matter, since you'll never hear my speaking voice. Yes. Ahem. I have a tendency to add on unnecessary side notes. And author's notes. Never mind. )

Haha. I'm telling you, most girls have a thing for british accents. haha.

Actually, as a die-hard Harry Potter fan, I can "fake" (ahem. FAKE in a way that it isn't 100% totally like the true accent) the English accent.

When my friends hear me speaking using that accent, they're like "What? Dang, girl!" But I murmur to myself "If you hear a true Brit, ha, you'll say I am pathetic."

Glad you decided to de-lurk! Hehe, it's true a lot of people ADORE English accents, ahaha cakeandmilk but seriously, english actors and their accents are . If I say so myself I can fake a english accent pretty well since I lived in England for a while and had an accent for 2+ years. And now, whenever I do a presentation/acting/speeches it goes back to an English accent. *cough* Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing fics from you!
