---- ORIG MESSAGE ON JUN 6 ---
Hi guys, bye1.gif

Please post here questions you'd like us to ask our next interviewee: PK writer BB Ruth! She who "makes her readers go all angsty before giving them an H/H ending", to borrow eowyn83's words. biggrin.gif Her fics include “The Keeper”, “Cardinal Curses” and “Purple Potion”.

Post your questions here. The sooner you submit them, the sooner we could release her interview. We'd include questions for as long as they aren't nasty or totally irrelevant. Of course, you may also post queries and comments every time we release portions of our feature on her and our other interviewees.

On a related note, we've just released Part 2 of PK Spotlight issue #1 featuring fan artist Gwendy. thumbsup.gif

Portkey staff's request to PK authors:

Please plug our Spotlight and ROR boards in your author notes when uploading chapters in fanfiction.portkey.org. smile.gif We'd also appreciate it if you could do as Heaven and Amynoelle have done, which are:
- to include this plug for more than one chapter AND
- to re-upload their first chapter to include this plug. Here's how to do that.

For your convenience, we've attached a Word .doc template that you could copy and paste onto your chapters before uploading them. You may omit the plug for the ROR if you want. This plug's not compulsory but it'd go a long way in making our fandom and site remain the friendly place that we've known to be. happy.gif Besides, it'd build an audience when your turn comes to go under PK's Spotlight. yes.gif

*scroll down the bottom for our Word .doc plug
then click its link to see and save the Word file*

To everyone else who wants to plug the interviews and/or the NC-17 board:

Thanks vm! We could use everyone's help in plugging this esp in fanfiction.portkey.org. You can help by copy and pasting the ff codes onto the review pages of your fav fics or art on fanfiction.portkey.org or in gallery.portkey.org. You could also copy them onto your blogs. Feel free to rephrase but please keep the message's essence and links (URLs) intact.

This plugs the Spotlight interviews.

Fan artist Gwendy's back after a long absence! Get the scoop on her here in Portkey's Spotlight board.

We could also submit questions for the next interviewee here.

This bit plugs the smutty PK ROR board. You may include it in the same "review" if you want. Give this invite only to adult writers or artists, okay?

Portkey staff dares us adult olbies to write a scene or two for their HORRIBLE smut fic in their ROR board! Get your ROR pass here!

Also, if you'd like to display the teaser graphics below your forum avatars, let us know by posting here. You don't need to join our project teams to display them.

Here's the Word .doc file. It contains * * * * * instead of ***** or _________. See, if you put long lines without blank spaces in your fanfiction.portkey.org uploads, it would stretch the pages' margins there esp when readers use the "change [to a bigger] font size" option. This problem's true for any webpage actually.

EDITED: uploaded a slightly revised version that spells out the URLs 'cos it seems we could only embed up to three links in fanfiction.portkey.org pages.

Well, what I have to ask BB Ruth is: as a fanfiction author, do you choose a specific characteristic of a character to explore and add it to your story or do you try to keep as fiel as possible to the original plot? I only read The Cardinal Curse and The Purple Potion . I'm waiting The Keeper be completed to read it.

I've always been impressed with the complexity and depth of BBRuth's stories and I was curious as to how much of the storyline does she (I'm assuming BBRuth is a she, apologies if I'm wrong) create before writing and how much is made up along the way?
QueenHarmony
I have a question for BB Ruth. How would you rewrite books six and seven for the ending that we should have?

To lighten the mood:

- Where'd you get your PK alias BB Ruth?
- How'd you find time to write your stories? Were you plotting it in your mind, got distracted and thus had that incident in your mom's kitchen? The one you alluded to in our Pinoy board? wink.gif

We'd like to thank her for being so accomodating and prompt with her replies. Please blame me for delays in releasing her interview. smile.gif
