The mods took a big chance on me a few years ago when they approved my author application despite the fact that I hadn't read the books at the time (I had read a fair bit on the forums, a good bit of fan fiction, and seen the movies, so I had a decent idea what I was doing. That story ("All I Want for Christmas") now has over 650 reviews for its 19 chapters. And I just posted the first chapter of the sequel to it last Thursday.

I look forward to seeing the sort of work you put up.
