Hi everybody!

It looks like I registered here a while back, but never introduced myself.
I'm a bit of a multi-shipper- both canon and fanon.

My Portkey ships are Harry/Hermione and Ron/Luna.
I'm happy to be here, and look forward to chatting with everybody yes.gif

Out of curiosity, which canon ships do you support?

Thanks for the welcome!

My canon ships are Harry/Ginny and Bill/Fleur. For some reason, I suspect that the first one isn't too popular here wink.gif

Can I ask you why you ship H/G? I'm just curious about what you think about their relationship. You don't think it happened out of thin air? That there was enough of a build up to it that justifies them as a couple?
I'm not asking out of mean-ness or malice at all, I'm just curious, as I said. I'm just wondering about your thoughts of them is all.

I'm quite fond of Bill/Fleur myself. I used to ship H/G, but am more a D/G shipper than anything else. wink.gif

I'd like to hear your reasoning for liking H/G too, though. I know for me it was the whole fact that I found their relationship adorable from CoS to GoF, but Order of the Phoenix converted me to H/Hr, and from there I suddenly switched to D/G. *laughs*

In any case, I'd love to hear why you like them. happy.gif

Well, I really started to see H/G as a possibility after reading OOTP, so I honestly don't feel that it happened out of thin air. I liked Ginny, the way her character developed, and the way she interacted with Harry; they seemed compatible to me. As for build up, it was fairly satisfactory. Could there have been more? Sure. Could it have been better handled? Sure. I enjoyed H/G in the books, though I am not all claiming that it was done perfectly. A few things could have been done differently- a little more interaction would have been nice, maybe slow things down a bit, a little more development, etc. But then, I'm not a professional writer, so what do I know?

That's fine; I don't mind at all (as long as there's no debating) hug.gif
It comes with the territory when you're a multishipper. H/Hr shippers wonder why I ship H/G; H/G shippers wonder why I ship H/Hr.

My story's pretty much the opposite. From SS to GOF, I thought Ginny's crush was cute, but that nothing would ever really come of it. My only ship then was H/Hr, though I was pretty open to R/Hr. That changed when Ginny came out of her shell (around Harry) and got over her crush in OOTP; I thought there was a chance that their friendship could deepen and eventually grow into love, and that they could be quite good together. OBHWF began to grow on me (yes, I love cheese). After HBP, I generally enjoyed the H/G, but got turned off of R/Hr (must have been the canaries)
Well, I went back and re-read the books, looked at different sites, essays, etc, and got back into H/Hr, gaining a new appreciation for it yes.gif , and became interested in other "fanon" ships.

Hi!
Very sorry for my late welcome. I'm Becky, lovely to meet you smile.gif

Aah it's always nice to get a different perspective of the series, and dont worry- there shouldn't be any debates so long as you steer clear of the debating areas hehe.
Personally it's always been H/Hr for me... I've never really shipped anyone else in the series. Odd that *scratches head*

Anyways, hope you have fun around here!
If you have any problems please feel free to drop me a PM- I'll be more than happy to help you with anything you might need.

See you around the forums!
