Is there such a thing as a Portkey Bump?
If any of you watch the Colbert Report then you'll know what that means. But to get to the point....Hey there. You probably won't remember me, but my Portkey name is Ahn Na Blue, and I used to dabble in the fanfiction...a few of my stories were rather popular (What it Costs to Save the World, and Here at the End took third in that Book 7 competition, the one prior to the real *cough*crappy*cough* book 7 coming out).
Well, I poke around here now and again to see what you all are saying...I loved the theorists and I still revisit the old Alchemy threads...but I usually just lurk. I've been writing other stuff since Book 7 dashed our hopes and triggered our collective gag reflexes, and now, one of my novels has made the quarter final in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest.
This is what I wonder: Are any of you old reviewers still lurking around in here who would be willing to have a look at another project of an old Portkey author? Because they're announcing the top 100 pretty soon, April 15th, and I couldn't help remembering how lovely and literary you guys were when it came to reviewing.
Just thought I'd let you know about the competition....there is some great work there, and all of it available for free download. So if you feel like reading, go rally round some authors! And if you feel like rallying around this one....here's the link:

In the real world they call me Kendare Blake. They call my novel, Fade: A novel of desire. Actually just downloading it for free would help my sales rank.
And here's the link to the general comp, if you want to poke around. And hey, if anyone else in here made the quarter finals, shout it out to me! I'd be glad to review your excerpt.

I miss you portkeyers. Occasionally I'll still get a new review off a fic and it makes my day.
And thanks in advance if any of you decide to read or review.
