Hello everyone, it's been such a long time since I was last here! So long I couldn't even remember my old login. Yes, I'm talking probably over 4 years since I was last here.

I doubt anyone remembers me.

So I used to have a different sign in, and I used to use my real name a lot. Now though I like to keep my real identity a secret All I really remember from those good ol' days, was that Harry/Hermione was still a possibility for cannon, and that Gutter City reigned supreme here (if I remember correctly, I was Queen of Gutter City).

Life threw me a few ups and downs, but I'm back now, and I want to do my bit to help keep the H/Hr fandom alive even though cannon has seen us slightly... ship-wrecked.

I used to do both fanart and fanfiction, and I intend on leaping back into both. I've recieved a few prods from an old friend from here to come back into H/Hr fandom, so here I am.

I think I'm prattling.

I guess sometimes these things are best left in the closet It was a long time ago - ah! The havock that the Gutter City crew used to cause for the mods - which was funny because a number of the mods were all Gutter City residents too if I remember correctly. The important thing to remember is that everything has innuendo XD - and in those days, the forums moved too fast to keep up with and we were all posting over the top of each other.

Hey, I do remember Gutter City even though I was never an "official" member! Nielle's your mayor, right? I think I know what your older PK account is judging by the sound of "Lollie". If you want to access that older account, send me a PM and maybe we could work something out.

Haha! Yes! Nielle was Mayor! It was such a long time ago now. I just found it on the top posting member list - I couldn't believe I was still so high up on that list after such a long time! I guess though, back then, that's when Portkey was just about exploding, wasn't it?

I don't mind having a new account though, as long as it isn't troublesome to the Admins/Mods at all. Until I saw it on the list and had a look, I had even forgotten my old username.

Goodness, I've missed Harry/Hermione fandom more than I realised I think

LOL, lemme say, you G.C. folks gave the mods then plenty of headaches with your posts. Last year, I threw moved a lot of them into the "Archive - Hermione's Bag" forum 'cos that's where we've put most threads from the former "Off-Topic" section.

To be fair though, lots of G.C. folks became mods as well, like Sandra (Facade), Nitya (Nousia), Kalie, plenty more. Also, your (plural your) OT-ness level wasn't as bad as the levels seen shortly before Book 6 and shortly after Book 7, when mods were undermanned.

Nostalgia! lol - I've actually still been in contact with Nitya, I just couldn't remember her account name over here though - she's on my LiveJournal flist!

I find it hard to believe that anything could have been as difficult to deal with us Gutter City folk!

I imagine that things have quietened down a bit since the series concluded. I just about threw up forcing myself to read OBHWF in the books and remembered some of the old topics here. I still remember what Sandra said she'd do if OBHWF came to pass and it made me laugh a bit.

I'm always in for a bit of chat My mum tells me I talk too much.

Nitya did tell me things had gone very quiet here these days, but I still felt the need to come back.

Okay, maybe you G.C. folks still reigned in OT-ness, but the levels were bad when the mods were understaffed. Like you'd see a topic that starts about Rupert then goes to Dan (which is pretty OK as those are closely related topics) then move on to griping about today's music (which the posters themselves admitted was totally OT). Or a thread whose first 50 posts talked about OOTP the movie, then the next 70 messages turned to SNL's parody of HP and Dan and Rupert's stint in Extras. Totally hilarious subjects but were in the wrong thread. Anyways, if that happens again, there are enough mods now to move unrelated posts into another thread.

As for your old account, I've seen your LJ message, so remind Nitya to send hers.
