Hi everyone, please include our Aussie PK-mates in your prayers as some of them might be affected by wildfires.

There's always been plenty more Aussie PK-ers than what this thread would suggest. Off-hand I could name Gems (GemmaH121), Nielle (Anazecria), Lissanne (probably still living outside Australia though), Sarah, Farrah (Poison), St Hedwig, The Nightingale.

Other Aussies: Sariele had sent me in 2003 attaching her list of H/H moments in the books. There was also a male Aussie PK-er who PM'd me ages ago to request that I check his Tagalog translation of a brief letter he was writing for his gf.

Okay I can assure you of two things...

The Nightingale is from the UK lol!

I am no where near the fires as it isn't in my state but that isn't to say it hasn't affected myself and Australia as a whole. Do keep those poor people who have lost everything, some their lives in this. I hope they get the idiot who did this asap.

Ladylaughalot is also from Aussie. I'm pretty sure she lives in Victoria. I'm really worried about her, and everyone else.

I am also nowhere near the bushfires, but know people who were evacuated, and who are all safe now.

Any affected members would have said they are from Melbourne, Gippsland, Dandenong area, etc. Hope that helps.

I hope that everyone is safe and my thoughts are with everyone in this horrible incident. The death toll is absolutely breaking my heart. I hope that these people manage to recover and fellow PK-Mates are all safe!

I'm also no where near those fires (there was a fire closer to me but still about 20mins drive so didn't really effect us except for smoke was a bad fire but nothing like victoria) as not in victoria. But it's still had a big affect on me and is so sad. There is a lady at my mum's work who is sending toys, books etc. down to a preschool down there so the kids have something to play with. So we are putting together some stuff for that. I am praying for everyone who has been affected by these fires.

Lissanne is back in Australia, but she is not close to the affected areas.

I do live in Victoria but I'm perfectly safe, my home is in a very metropolitan area so not affected. I do work in Insurance claims however and have spoken with plenty of people who have been affected and I spent a weekend doing OT at one of the relief centres for the bush-fire victims.

It's been a very difficult few weeks and it doesn't look to get any better any time soon. We have an extreme fire danger warning for tomorrow with everyone in affected areas on high alert and just today I lodged a claim with a young girl in her early twenties whose parents had both died in the fires.

Thank-you so much for all of your thoughts, it may seem strange but what seems like a little thing really means a lot.

I am happy that some are safe and very heart broken about those who died in the wildfires. I know that my best friend Chrissy is safe and sound. My prayers are with those who lost there love ones in this.
