This being my first Round-robin, I thought that it may be alright to bring back the idea of one of my challenges: Basically that after Harry and Dumbledore recruit Slughorn, they go to another house to recruit a new Muggle Studies teacher (the canonical one having skipped the country at the behest of muggle relatives): That person is non other than ancient alumnus, Ravenclaw graduate and pirate Jack "Sparrow" Teague.

The original challenge is here:

Of course, I don't expect everyone to follow every little detail: Contribute as much or as little as you want and just have Sparrow act somewhat canonically: he's getting paid a bundle to revamp the muuggle-studies class from a muggle-sided theoretical class to a wizard-sided practical class.

I'll go first for a bit.

Harry was beginning to see a pattern in tonights itinery. The first seemingly ransacked house they'd visited had contained a new teacher for the upcoming year, and now they'd come to this old townhouse, similarly ransacked, with the objective of finding someone called "sparrow".

All Dumbledore had said was to look for something "out of place".

As Harry sifted thought an upstairs closet, he thought that what was hanging right before his eyes surely fit the bill.

A shrunken head.

As Harry began reaching for it, he felt something poke the side of his own head.

"I'd appreciate it if you left my mother alone." Spoke a quiet, cultured, slightly slurred voice.
