Full Version: New look for the forums (aka forum skins)!

Hi everyone,

Thanks to Sue's (Sundari Harmony) we've tweaked the forums' appearance. In techie speak, we've added two new forum skins. If you miss the forum's old look, never fear! You can revert to it or select others (if any) in the dropdown menu at the bottom of every forum page. That menu's on the same row as the words "Lo-Fi version" and today's date.

We'll also be updating the links in the headers for PK's other sections.

- Pen, on behalf of the Portkey Mod Team

The darker blue is easier on the eyes. The pastel lighter blue comes out brighter on my screen so I had to dim it before but now it is not so hard on my eyes. But still, pastel blue is better than white screen which really gets my eyes buggy online2long.gif I get bad migraines sometimes when I look at bright screens too long. *sighs in frustration at my old messed up eyes*

I tend to prefer warm colors with dark green being my favorite and fall colors like rich gold, burnt orange *pumpkin pie color*, colors of fall leaves too.

Shades of red are also good but I sorta put them into the fall leaves category too.

I also like shades of brown.

Blues, silver and the cooler colors are ok but not usually on my high list except maybe sea foam green and dark royal purple.

Is that a good answer for the question Pen?

All credit for Portkey's skins go to NAPPA, but Sue helped tremendously with the forum skins. I believe Magpie & Curt also helped with the skins for the gallery & rec-engine.

I'll have to refer all design suggestions to Sue. biggrin.gif Of course, there's no obligation on her part to them but I'm sure she'd love to do more if she could find the time.
