When I upload a chapter 17 for my fic, the chapter loads and can be read but the fic isn't pushed up the storylist. Help?

I am re-uploading more than half of my story, why doesn't it appear in the New/Updated page?

Sometimes PORTKEY Won't show the fic on the front page of the site. The main reasons are usually the following :

1) Prevent Abuse : If we allowed authors to reupload a chapter and make the story show up on the front page of the site just by doing that, it can be abused. So the only time the fics will show up on the front page of PK is if you have added a new story OR a completely new chapter. Not when you replace text in chapters.

2) Caching : Sometimes PORTKEY's pages can be cached on the server side and may not show the very latest fics on the front page. But the fics would eventually show up as older updates are removed and new ones replace them. It might also be something on your end where the page is being cached . It shouldn't happen, but sometimes it's been known to happen. Closing and restarting all the browser windows usually fixes this.
