I have just been over to gryffindortower.net, and I would just like to compliment Nappa and James on how much better orgaized this site is then most others. Gryffindortower is a site for H/G, and I do tend to like that so I figured I'd go check it out to see if there was anything there to interest me. Turns out I cant even sign up to post there, you have to get approved before they allow you in, and they don't make the area you go to get approved very easy to find either (still haven't found it). That there annoyed me enough so that I'm not so interested in their site anymore and don't think I plan on going there. There "approval" was I believe to keep people out they think will spam, but still, there was no approval here, and I personally have seen no sign of spam anywhere. Anyway I just thought I'd post this to let you know again how great the site is.

This site is indeed great. A Fortress against the raging see, a Bastion to defend the H/Hr cause, the Pride of the H/Hr ship... etc.. I'm being overdramatic..

I personally like the layout/organisation of this much better than FA... I'm not a big fan of FA... so many terrible memories but so much talent...

I would like to compliment not the site layout, which I do love, by the way, but the Moderators. Whenever something inappropriate occurs in a thread, they swoop in immediately and end the issue. I was just over at SugarQuill earlier today, and a thread they had featured a lot of people complaining about Ron bashing by bashin H/Hrs. Their mods took a long time to interrupt it and gave a pretty weak response, IMO. Just a thought. Great work to Nappa, James, and the Mods. Bravo!

NAPPA
Layout: Well the site layout is mine - but it would be nothing but text links a very white on black place if Kristin (link at the very bottom of the page) hadn't let me use her brilliant artwork smile.gif You can check out her other work here >> http://www.chamberofkeys.com/

And believe me when I say that we have had a lot of failed attempts at a layout before coming to this one. smile.gif

Moderators: smile.gif Thanks. The mods are all very good on the site. smile.gif I don't know half the time what to really do in some cases, so I've had to rely on those nice people.

SugarQuill: I am not sure if they can help the slow down of the response. Their forums are much bigger and much more active to moderate. I think the best thing to do in that case is to use the "report this post" feature.

Organized: Thanks, Makaveli :)But I think, I personally am not that organised. Half the things would not be rightly arranged if James hadn't told me off thinking of supid things. happy.gif *huggles James* smile.gif

Just a place to say thanks to all the moderators.

Heaven - you're fanfictions are great and you really help out keeping Nappa under control.

Nappa - you do an excellent job running the site and keeping us shippers updated on what's going on.

James - I actually have no idea what you do but thanks, haha.

And all the other Mods - even though you close some of the "good"(haha) threads we are all glad you are here to keep us in line!

THANK YOU

Haha. I thought that was funny.

But I defintely need to contribute to this thread by saying:

Thank you for putting up with my annoying Mac problems. Thanks for all the efforts you guys put into the Pumpkin Pie ship.

They keep us in line wink.gif Especially whenever there's some . . . uh, how should I put this . . . overzealous Ron/Hermione shippers. No offense meant! Also, I have my personal H/H sanctuary (besides Crossing the Line Undrawn) where there's people who believe in the same ship(s) I do cool.gif So that's cool biggrin.gif Arigato [thank you] ne, mods! thumbup.gif *ahem* Ignore my hyperness - must stop having a double dose of chocolate everyday. And the number one sign that you can tell you're in a nice fandom when is...

Seeing a thanks thread to the mods.

Oh, damn. I wish they had this when I was a mod at DATV. The only threads they had that talked about mods were stating how much we were hated.

Yeah, these guys here do a good job... and it's not like you get paid to be a mod or anything.

Fan-Club

I just had this thought since I know we have some really great Members or Staff-Members on this site who make this place to me that special. Its time to honor them and name what make's me to a Fan-Girl of them.

Right, this should be some fun but a little challenge for us all to get once mentioned here, I say.

This said you should point out a reason lets say something this member did on Portkey to deserve this honor. Do think about it carefully because I think that one should really deserve it, you know!

After my thinking there are a lot people who do much stuff in the background and one of this persons is Thieving Magpie because well, I'm an author myself and just look how the FanFiction area did change? Its just amazing. I know gal-texter did there a lot too but mind you Magpie is working mostly in the background and hardly get credit for it but truely he deserve it.

So I hope I didn't embrasse myself to much but hey sometimes you have to point great things out which we just take but never honor nor credit those persons who did it.
Nousia
Oi! You are so right. Plenty of people have done so much for Portkey, and while we appreciate them and everything they've done, we don't show it.

So certainly they deserve a fan club or following of fangirls/fanboys. wink.gif

- Nitya
gal-texter
Nitya and PW, you're both right, there are many people who've done so much for Portkey. I suppose because few people understand the work required in maintaining this site. The following people are under-appreciated as they work mostly behind the scenes. A few anecdotes --I might add more later:

Thieving Magpie

-->set up the Fic Recommendations forum, (per an old thread in the Mods' Area, it was his idea to make the original 100+-reply Recommendations thread into a separate forum, and for each story to have its own thread.

-->Was one of the first Global Forum Mods (and therefore tasked with policing many forums),

-->Coded the Fic Recs Search Engine. Tirelessly explains each feature, and gives notices of new ones. Corrects my mistakes there. tongue.gif Btw, he's always racking his brains on how to improve it, and he welcomes ideas about that.

NAPPA

---> Once I requested him to change a forum setting, to take effect on a certain date. On that date's eve, he PM'd me that "okay, I'll do it in an hour, smile.gif", meaning it was already 11 pm in his time zone.

The next morning, I PM'd him, "that was a good idea [to do another related change]." He replied, "Gah! I fell asleep on the keyboard," so he was delayed by a few hours. Who minds a few hours? Not me. smile.gif

What else was he working on while waiting for midnight? PK's Media Section.

Heaven

--> I understand she and NAPPA donate the most money to our site. Plus, she never tires of clarifying matters of policy**. smile.gif Neither do James or NAPPA.
**Examples of things we've asked her: Does this fic break our "no rape themes" rule? What's our policy on actor avatars?

James

--> Fic and Forum Mods have been nagging James to code this or that enhancement in our systems. tongue.gif

-->Once I asked him if he wouldn't mind renaming an author's account, from a single name to a joint one. Naturally he didn't mind. He even apologized for forgetting to meet his own deadline for it. The (hardly noticeable) delay was due to his schoolwork.

Phoenixwriter *sees her blushing* tongue.gif

--> She's one catalyst in the forums' cleanup, and in overhauling the Fanfiction Section.

Quis

---> did loads and loads of work for Portkey

thereader

--> Built the Pumpkinpie's Army from scratch. Made it a home for mature discussion.
--> Also relayed members' request to have a place for non-shippy essays. Now known as The Nook.

Fic Mods

-- As a part-time Fic Mod, I see the demands Fic Mod-ing makes on one's time and patience. Many Mods have to read stories about pairings they don't ship.

Lest people think this is a "Appreciate only Mods" thread, I'll now give a thumbup.gif to the Troll Wrestlers Army:

-- They've been described as "fab" and friendly. Their duties are defined here
Szaranea
I don't have much more to add to this, apart from:

Mods that turn up in places they don't frequent to help/clarify matters. Let me explain:

we do have mods for the D/G Forum, but apparently they're all busy with RL at the moment, and Pen (gal-texter) for example helped us build up the D/G RR Forum, and I've noticed Nitya (Nousia) turning up in the Forum now and then, doing modly stuff (she's mostly a H/Hr shipper)

Those are things that I'm very grateful for, because else the Forum would probably be a mess.

Someone else? Pen (gal-texter) is everywhere. She's always helping people with stuff, redirecting them, and trying to make things easier by writing complicated templates tongue.gif (nah, they're mostly understandable)

Diana (Phoenixwriter) when looking at the 'today's active topics' feature, I notice that she's posting everywhere in the H/Hr Forum, and being the nosy person that I am, I sometimes take a look, and she's always sprouting modly advice, or doing other modly things. *bows to Diana* I don't know about a lot of things going on, but I know that you're a very hard-working person and very valuable for PK

There's probably more on that list, but I can't think of anything right now (too hungry)

Ri, honoured that the TWA is apparently doing good work

This thread is a great idea. smile.gif

Same! I thought it was just a silly welcome wagon thinger.. we're actually appriciated?

And most of the things I wanted to say have been said, but mostly thanks to gal-texter [Pen], for being everywhere, to Nousia [Nitya] for stopping by and checking in on the D/G forum so often, and to Szaranea [Ri] for actually making her Troll Wrestling posts useful and full of links, and for helping out in the DG forum as well with FE and the RR when she's not even a Mod.

Thanks guys!

PhoenixWriter
Aww thanks for the sweetest words blush.gif

Anazecria is as I know one of those Moderators who acts the fastest if something is wrong or must be moderated. I know she did a lot previous to the POA-movie like to write those guideline. She is almost always around and merge or find threads in the archives.
Anazecria
Phoenixwriter, you make me blush! blushing.gif Thankyou so much!

Kudos goes to:

James & Nappa, they can never get enough credit for what they do here. I know PK costs them much needed sleep frequently, and I am always amazed at how promptly they respond when queried.

Pen/PENtium/Oracle/HAL, as she is the Mother Mod we run to when us other Mods have no idea what to do (has run to Pen on many occasions). tongue.gif She never gets enough credit either, no one has any idea how much Pen does in the background. Much of it she doesn't have to do, but she does it anyway. There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am to Pen.

Phoenixwriter, not because she mentioned me, but because keeping an eye on the H/Hr vs. R/Hr + H/G forums and The Nook are huge and tricky jobs, plus she was critical in the clean-ups of the GHP forums, which I believe Pen has mentioned.

If Phoenixwriter thinks I am fast, then Nitya is super speedy, as I find frequently then when I am about to act Modly, she has already taken care of things so there is nothing to do. biggrin.gif

A special mention to research_dome, who Mods the D&E Threads, as this has to be the trickiest madhouse place to look after. And she's so damn cool about it too! thumbup.gif

Kalie must be mentioned, as she helps keep PK beautiful with her avatars! biggrin.gif

As for people who aren't Mods, well, that would most definitely have to go to Ri, she maintains a healthy balance of crazy and helpful. Take a look at her posts in the Troll threads for an idea of how helpful/crazy she can be.

Finally, I cannot sign-off on this post without mentioning all the Wonks. Ah, what can I say? They never cease to amaze me. Most of the Wonks are well known in Portkey generally, and all have contributed greatly to Portkey in some way. Either by helping PK function, writing excellent fics for PK to host, dazzling us with their wit, making us laugh ourselves silly, and sometimes Wonks have come up with some valuable contributions to Portkey. Most importantly, they care about each other, and anyone is welcome, a truly touching thing to see.

So many people keep PK running as it should, and I'm sure to have missed some here (Sorry!). I'll be sure to correct this later! All the people I've listed are appreciated because they do things that they don't have to do, but they do it anyway because they want to and they care for this place. Something like this should never be taken for granted.

Nielle, who didn't expect to type this much. huh.gif
Thieving Magpie
Well, moderating on Portkey is fun and a great honor at the same time, but it's definitely not always as easy as it may seem, when you're looking from the outside. It's also quite a lot of responsability and often enough it includes doing things you don't like to do.

I really do have great respect for all our current forum mods, because it can be a damn hard job sometimes.

And I have just as much respect for the fanfiction moderators, for they not only have to read through fics with ships they don't really ship, but they also have to write rejections, which is definitely no fun at all.

Some of the mods do both jobs and that's even harder because it takes a lot of your free time.

Just for the record: I not doing that much in the background. I just had some good ideas and one of the best was recommending two other mods!
gal-texter
Ri, Kristina - yes, I've seen newbies return to their Troll (introductory) threads to say, "thanks for the warm welcome", "Your welcome wagon is so fab!" etc.

QUOTE (Magpie)
but they [Fic Mods] also have to write rejections, which is definitely no fun at all.

Oh definitely. sad.gif

Btw, I can't help but admire how tightly do Fic Mods (like Moglie, Pat, Sarah, et al) screen stories for hosting in PK. Goes to show how deep their commitment and concern run. biggrin.gif

Some applicants don't realize that Mods do their work on their volunteer time. A few author aspirants insist on submitting too small sample sizes, despite getting 1 or 2 rejection notices from me that clearly asked them to reapply when they can submit at least 3,000 words. In one instance, I wrote in exasperation: "Let's respect one another's time. Comply with that minimum sample size before reapplying here."

I've recalled more instances:

Forum Mods

r_d - We had a minor disagreement about the D-E before; but that demonstrated to me how much she cares for that section. smile.gif That view is reinforced by her occasional PMs about something in that forum. *salutes r_d*

All the Forum Mods, esp. Nielle, Nitya, Rach, PW - one can rely on them anytime. thumbup.gif No matter how difficult or emotional the task or issue can be. How many flames have we gotten, girls?

Other Forum Mods do their best to balance their Mod-ing duties with RL. I respect them for that.

Contest Coordinators
-- ricelius and Mrs. Pepper for the Poetry Contest, along with co-judges innermurk and Gil / romulus lupin
---- I often saw Gil and Mrs. Pepper post in the hidden judging forum, at 2 AM in our time zone (we 3 live in the same country/zone). Gil's very busy with RL work, while Mrs. Pepper was enrolled in school then, IIRC. I'm sure their fellow judges worked just as hard.

-- Joyce and Pat for the Fic (Readers' Choice) Awards
---- Pat recently described some (only some) of the work they do.

Remember when we had the Awards hack before? I was planning to give out some to the Contest Coordinators. Too bad I took too long in doing so. I believe that add-on had to go as it's one cause of our downtimes before.

Speaking of Awards, they were a way of saying thanks for all the help in making PK the enjoyable place that it is. That's why the following were given awards:

Vincent, Jo, Christine Nitya - for finding lost fanfics
Sandra, Nitya - for directing people to the proper forums and threads
Sinta, Cry-Hope, Nitya, Nina - for recommending great stories

I'm sure I've forgotten some people and awards. Sorry!

Merged this post and the ones that follow, 10/17/04~WonkyKris

I just wanted to know who you all are really close to on PK. I'm kinda "stealing" the idea from another board, lol.

I'm good friends with the following (these are the ones I talk with a lot in either MSN or YM..., but I met them on PK! Remember, I have a lot more friends here on PK; I just talk to the following the most and stuff.

Bec (Harry/Hermione 4eva)- She was the first friend I made at PK. You're awesome!

Ali (Draco's Girl)- I'm not going to bother with the little things in your SN, lol. Ali is my partner in crime! biggrin.gif

Romy (Angel-Wing)- She encourages me a lot on my writing, and she is a lot (and I mean a lot) of fun to bug. Love ya Cho! tongue.gif

Nitya (Nousia)- Hmmmmmm, she likes to pick on me. Why do I like her? tongue.gif
Oh she's just too fun to not like.

Jennifer (Hermiones Twin)- Same as above. But she does know how to make a Dangirl happy! whistling.gif

Anto (MyOb)- Awwwww, Antoie is my best guy friend. You're so fun to trease!

HB (obsessedharryfan)- Oh boy, this guy is just crazy. Always hyper....But he's an awesome friend!

Okay, you're turn. Have fun. This will also be a good way to make new friends!

--Kris--
Hermione's Twin
My best friends on PK? God, I can't think of them all. The Wonks, definitely. But there are a few in particular I'd like to name. Mind you, these are people that have made the biggest impact on me while I have been here. So please, if I didn't name you, don't feel left out. I mean, it's not like I don't like you.

Nitya (Nousia) - The reason is simple enough. She and I have a continuing correspondence. We talk literally on a daily basis. I don't even do that with my RL friends. I've come to trust her and value her opinion greatly. smile.gif

Kalie - Now, come on, who doesn't adore Kalie? She may not think so, but she's a very cool person to talk to. And she makes you care. She's just one of those people who you want to get to know better.

Nielle (Anazecria) - It's Nielle, need I say more? She's funny, she's smart, and she is evil. Plus, she is always willing to help me with my computer woes. *glares at comp*

Kris (WonkyKris) - Kris is just one of those people. She's never been afraid to pop up and say hi whenever I've been on YM. Plus she lets me tease her. Poor girl. It's little things like that that catch my attention and make me see her as a good friend.

Ri (Szaranea) - Ri was the first person to ever take interest in my whole CJT thing. Shame about it too because I don't think she's heard the latest update. *frowns*

Sandra (Facade) - Never would I leave the great GoAG off this list. After all, it was Sandra who got me to join the Wonky threads and it was Sandra who granted me the title of GOATS (don't ask). So therefore, I have much to thank Sandra for.

Pen (gal-texter) - Pen, HAL, ICKLE, Pentium, whatever you want to call her, is the person who helped me get my author's account. I owe her so much. Plus, she doesn't mind it when I bug her to do modly chores for me. In fact, she encourages it. So, thanks Pen!

Whitney (jesuscrazy) and Jessica (tink18) - These two are my RL best friends. I dragged them onto this site, kicking and screaming. And now, they love it here, especially the fanfiction. True, they don't post very often, but they don't have a lot of time on the computer. These two are my confidants, my partners-in-crime, and are the other two-thirds to the infamous trio at my former high school. We are like the Marauders minus Wormtail. And I couldn't be more grateful for them.

Jennifer

Wow.

My closest friends here? The Wonks. However there are those few that I seemed to feel like I've known all my life. Also this seems to include people that have DISAPPEARED! Yeah you know who you all ARE(Aramas, Jess, Jack, Jere, etc.)!

Gosh, I'm going to be here all night. I'll name a few before I decide that I'm too lazy... Low attention span, I know.

Erm.

Nielle: Aw. Nielle is my long lost sister that I've grown to just be close to. Even though she might diss my Mac and my boys, she supports HMS Oceans Apart. It makes up for it.

Nitya: A RFWIDR herself, she's a close friend. I correspond daily with her that she seems to know a lot of things about me. Plus she holds a special place in my heart since she's was my first beta.

Kalie: How can one not be close after being a fourth of the people responsible for Gutter Saturday? Self explanatory.

Jennifer: Hehehe. It's always a pleasure to talk to her. After all she was the one that made me understand the meaning behind FUBAR and SNAFU, how can I repay you?

XTina: After professing your love for me publicly (tongue.gif) how can one not be close to you?

Kris: My rival! tongue.gif It's been fun sharing the Dan love and having a Wonk fully understand why I admire this fine specimen. It takes a dangirl to know one, eh?

Pen: How can one not like your unearthly memory powers? Also how can one not get close to you after you helped destroy Rhea's thread. tongue.gif

Romy: How can one not like a fellow Latin-American? It's been great knowing you Romy, even if you are a BB fan. wink.gif

Ri: Who doesn't like Ri?

*keeps editting post*

Now I'm lazy. Lazy kisses to all the others. No I did not forget you. PM me if you want me to boost your ego. wink.gif
Sakura1287
Oh I like this thread!

First off, my best best friends on PK are Crystal (InTheStars) and Daniela (VanillaPuf). They were the first friends I made and we've been like ice cream in the summer (sticky) ever since.

Next comes the Wonks, who I definately love. Sandra (Facade) and Nitya (Nousia) are the ones I am probably the closest with, but Kalie and Nielle and Romy and Pen and Jennifer and Rachael are all people I have grown to enjoy talking to as well. And of course Patrick because he comes from my hometown!!!

I'm near certain I forgot someone important so I'll probably be back.

WonkyKris
Now I'm doing my other list. The ones I'm good friends with, but don't talk to much off of PK. Why? Because I want to.... It was bugging me while I was off, so I decided to do it. They deserve to be mentioned on my list!

Sandra (Facade)- Oh Sandra, Sandra. Though you are the HMS Oceans Apart, as my rival, you are a good rival. And I ditto on what you said about "Him"...

Nielle (Anazecria)- twisted.gif Oh Nielle. It doesn't matter that in the beginning I forgot thou's name. I shall remember it forever. Oh this girl just makes me laugh!

Kalie- Such a loffly girl. We love her, I love her. Wonky wouldn't be the same without her!

Pen (gal-texter)- You helped make Wonky, and you help make PK such a wonderful place. And you've made me feel welcomed wherever I am on here. Infact, I think you were the first person to call me Kris. biggrin.gif

Ri (Szaranea)- At first I didn't know what to think of you. I thought we had another Nielle...But no you are Ri, and wonderful you are! biggrin.gif

I will probably remember more later, but off the top of my head (it's 12:38am), this is all. Nitya, I think I understand now, lol.

--Kris--
Kalie
I almost didn't post in this thread, because I was afraid of leaving others out, but I was goaded into it by Jennifer...nah, just kidding *hehe* Anyway, I just want to say that I love all of the Wonks and my HoaF crew, but there are a few that stand out to me. I've been here for nearly a hour and a half now *blinks* I feel like an oldbie.

Nitya: She may self-depreciate herself at times(and I can definitely understand where she comes from, because I tend to do the same thing myself), but I think she's utterly loffly. Her fics are amazing and her graphics are absolutely brilliant, despite what she says otherwise. I can't say enough good things about her. And she also gives me good advice and is not nosy in the slightest.

Jennifer(Hermione's Twin): I don't really know what to say *laughs* She's one of the only people that make me laugh when I'm in a depressing mood. We share the same fandoms(*waves SW and HP flag*). She even made me my own special acronym. And we can dominate the Wonky in ways that scare the newbies.

Jere(Zanarkand): My closest PK guy *hugs* He's awesome. He's listened to me ranting for ages and even gives me great advice all the time. I've probably deprived him of sleep for all the times he's stayed up chatting with me(and that includes the times when he's had finals the next morning *blinks*---still immensely sorry about that). To think, I met him by defending him from an R/Hr who planned to convert him *grins*

Nielle(Anazecria): Evil, just pure evilness. What can I say about Nielle? *ponders* She's funny, smart, evil, and she listens to me whenever I rant(not to mention, giving me a good talk whenever I needed it). Her help with HoaF is much appreciated and her screencaps are enough to make me pass out.

Sandra(Facade):
Ah, my Gutter City Saturday counterpart. GC Saturday would definitely not have become the legend that it is today *nods* She's hysterically funny and her innuendo is enough to make me fall out of my chair...and I mean that literally.

Ri: Such a nice and sweet person. Yet evil enough to write a letter in German for me when this girl from school was irritating me *hehe*

Romy: Definitely one of the more mature Wonks wink.gif But she's one of the nicest people that I know.

Pen: One of my PK mentors. You've helped me out so much with PK stuff and even non-PK things. She's listened to my rants and even dealt with my being a you-know-what to both her and Nielle after I refused to listen to her advice. But I really do appreciate all of that advice that you've given me in the past.

Kris(WonkyKris): She's awesome as well. I can't imagine the Wonky without her there.

XTina: Too bad we never really got that P/W site up and running, eh? I guess there is still time tongue.gif But you're tremendously funny and such a loffly person overall.

Jack: You may not post on PK a lot anymore, but I talk with you quite a bit on YM. We were rivals in the Posting War last summer and you even beat me at it! I think you're a great guy, really. Glad you've listened to all of our advice about asking Katie out smile.gif

Pat, Joyce, Rach, etc: For helping me out with my "B" problems, plus my depression *hugs* You guys are the best.

Ali: For always wanting to help out with HoaF. You're such a nice person and simply loffly.

I'll be updating this list to see if there is anyone that I have missed.

First off, my best best friends on PK are Crystal (InTheStars) and Daniela (VanillaPuf). They were the first friends I made and we've been like ice cream in the summer (sticky) ever since.

Ice cream. Yum. I want ice cream now. *angry* Thanks, Tina!! tongue.gif

Kristina and Daniela are definitely my best best friends here, as well. I'm amazed that we've only disagreed ONCE in our entire friendship. Gosh, being separate people is weird. tongue.gif

Other than that:

Nitya (PRG!!! Muahahahaha! wink.gif ), Kalie (Mostly because I worship her avatars and Kalie-ness. tongue.gif ), Nielle (innuendo rocks), Ri (I'm trying to have Tina give back your muffins, honestly), and Sandra (Spice Girls Movie! A classic! *shakes head*)

How can you not remember?! I am so disappointed in you. Now you are off my list.

It was on a wonky thread. Forgot the number... 50 something? Meh. I honored our conversation in chapter two of "Inevitable."</plug>

I vaguely remember something like this, heh. I'll have to go read the second chapter of Inevitable again, I suppose. tongue.gif
And don't kick me off the list! I do a lot of goofy things on PK.. and I am the Weasel Princess... I'll find a way back on your list!

XTina: Too bad we never really got that P/W site up and running, eh? I guess there is still time  But you're tremendously funny and such a loffly person overall.

Aww thanks Kalie! I'm funny? Awesome! *does the I can't believe people think i'm funny dance*
And who knows... Never IS an awfully long time! tongue.gif

No problem Crys. And sorry about that. If it's any consolation, I wanted ice cream after writing that too. mad2.gif

Technically twice now, kind of. But two is a very small number given the fact that we've nearly been friends for a year! biggrin.gif

Ahhh, my bestest and closest PK matey's...

Before I name anyone, I would just like to say:

I'M NUMBER ONE ON KRIS' LIST!!!! *Is proud*

OK, here we go. Oh, and I won't do the reasons 'cause it'd take too long. Heheh.
You all know why though.

Figo (MyOb) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!
Kris (WonkyKris)
HB (Obsessedharryfan)
Aly (Witch of the Web)
Ali (Dracos Girl)
Mart (Hogwarts Sniper)
Rene (Moreharry18)

You are all the best friends that I could possibly ask for. And I have no idea what I'd do without you... actually, no, I do, I'd be sane. tongue.gif

First off: I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. tongue.gif wink.gif

Bec, HB, Kris, Italian Chums, Curt (Ex), M3 (still getting to know each other), AND MAAAAAANY MORE, you know who you all are.

Nice thread Krissy.

Well, I do have YM, but I almost always forget to log in, and that's why I close to never talk to anybody with it. Therefore I must define my PK friends as people I like talking to on PK.

Nielle (Anazecria): The living, and breathing (well, when she's not being choked by her cats, that is) example for the sentence 'There's more to her than meets the eye'. Why? Well, she's a rather tiny and petite person. Who'd think that she contains at least 5 different personalities, one of which is constantly being transfigured into the strangest of things, because it's a pest? Freud would not have had a field day with her. He would have committed suicide. And that's what I like about her: she's funny, yet extremely strange, and a lot of fun to be around. An original.

Jennifer (Hermione's Twin): First off - what? CJT thing I missed? PM, PM, PM!!!! What do I like about Jennifer, apart from the fact that bugging her about RL is just plain fun? Well, she's my Jennifer for instance (tongue.gif). And really, really nice. And halfway sane. She's a less innocent version of Romy, yet unique. Difficult to explain. *ponders* Also, she has the most intelligent niece in the world.

Romy (Angel-Wing): Romy is a very sweet, innocent and nice person. She's the kind of girl that I would like to have as a younger sister, even though I'm quite sure that she's older than me. Also, she comes from a country that has a very funny shape twisted.gif Sorry. Now, what I really value about Romy is that she is neither 'zany' nor any other of those attributes that can be connected with most wonks. She's nice, friendly and sane. Also, there was some confusing talk about her and Nielle being a hectagonal coin, or something. This does not tell us anything about Romy, apart from the fact that, apparently, she likes being treated like currency. Well, perhaps I'll take the sane bit back tongue.gif

Nitya (Nousia): The former Sarcastic Dragonette. Contrary to that name, she's a very nice and kind person, and extremely mature for her age. In fact, there are lots of older PKers that should take people like her as a role model. Also, when looking for modly advice that is neither a 3 page essay (will comment on this later), nor 'feel free to suspend Nappa's account anytime', aks her.

Kalie: A very nice and sweet person with a great talent for making graphics. Hence the name 'graphicsnut'. What Kalie desperately needs is more self-esteem, though. Because she sometimes cannot see what a great person she is herself wub.gif

Diana (phoenixwriter): Another resourceful person when looking for any kind of advice. She knows what to do in most situations, and also knows what she wants and stands up for her decisions. A very strong character, and a person whose opinions and advice I value very much.

Pen (gal-texter): Ad essays: 't was a joke. She's a very understanding person, who always helps people when they need it, and answers all the questions she is asked with admirable patience. Also, Portkey would not be what it is today without her: nobody can write better (or longer, for that matter) manuals on how to do things, which I am eternally grateful for, because it makes some things a lot easier to understand. I still like to tease her about it.

Crys (InTheStars): *sniff* she gave me back some muffins when Tina took them away from me. Such a kind person *sniffs again* Other than that, she's one of our newly-made D/G mods, and despite being a tad mad herself, rather sensible. She also writes lovely cookies.

I would also like to say that I would write more about Tina (Sakura 1287), Sandra (Facade), Kris (WonkyKris) and Rach (Scrivenshaft) but can't right now, because I'm off to Turkey tonight, and still ahve to pack my suitcase. I might come back to add something later, though.

LadyMagi
I really only have one friend on PK and that is someone probably none of you know since she has only posted a few times. That person is LittleAlice, and I actually know her in real life so that's why she's my bestest friend here at PK (she's also one of my bestest friends in real life too) . There are a lot of people here at PK that I find very funny and nice that I would include as friends but I have a feeling they wouldn't feel the same about me.... I don't think I make very good first impressions.... But there are some of you who have always been very nice to me so thanks ( I think you know who you are).

SecondBreakfast
Alas! another loner! My lack of social skills (sort of) has kept me from making friends here. I really am a nice person, and would love to be your friend. We can be loners together! (my best friend on here is also my best friend in real lie and only posted like 3 times)

LadyAkako
i don't really post much around anymore therefore am not in touch with many people here, i used to quite a lot but life has been hectic lately and havent had time for games and discussions, i'm not too close to any one person in the forums here but i have talked to most and you are all lovely people, i do have some aquaintences and a rare friend in the fanfic section, but i really have never found the time to search out friends here, i am content to lurk and read your conversations without interupting, you all can manage quite fine without my input.:-D

by the way, you two, Magi and SecondBreakfast, if you ever need a friend here, i'm always up for grabs smile.gif no need for us all to feel lonesome, after all, us outsiders must band together cool.gif

LadyMagi

Hey! This is good, I'm a loner too.. and now not the only one. I'm only really friends with ~*Draco's Girl*~, but we're good friends in real life.

Can I be part of the group with LadyMagi, SecondBreakfast, and LadyAkako?
