So we've had the "you know you're a D/G fan when...", we've had the "examples of crazy D/G fangirlness"; now I think it's time we really discover why our ship is the best

(Note, this is not to be taken seriously, lol)

So I'll start us off!

1: It's like Romeo and Juliet, without the crappy ending.

2: How many other ships can claim Fire and Ice as a slogan, and actually have it make sense?

3: It's about time the Dragon gets his fair maiden (Draco meaning 'Dragon' & Ginevra meaning fair/beauty)

Take it away fellow shippers!!

4: Because we all see a little bit of ourselves in Ginny, and who doesn't want the bad boy?

5: The fights are immense, but the reconciliations are even better.

6: The colors green (Slytherin) and red (Gryffindor) remind us of Christmas.

So in my adventures of looking through the D/G board (I discovered page 2! lol....)

Anyway, I realised InTheStars had already made a thread like this. I'm wondering if someone with modly godly powers could either merge the two or make this 'thread two'?

And to keep things going...

7: Because Draco and Ginny can capture sexual tension in a second.

8: Because we also get the chance to see lots of hilarious Blaise and Pansy.

Yes, but beware, there are some rather dangerous topics in page 2, including where the bald discussion and green slippers came from, lol...

10: Because Slytherins and Gryffindors going together is helping house unity.

LOL! i just found it and revived it. i couldn't help it. lol. i started laughing at the whole talk about the slippers and the bed and stuff. i loved the forum back then

11. because Blaise & Pansy were born to make Draco and Ginny be together, no matter what it takes.

12. Because D/G fic invairably has a huge quality increase from D/Hr and H/D fic.

13. Because H/G and Dransy are too predictable!

14. Because you can't capture them in a single reason.

15. There's so many different types of people that support it -- Harmonian and Heron, In-Canon Toad Flamer and In-Canon Chocolateer, people who like OOC Blaise & Pansy and people who don't...

16: Because we all love to snicker at Draco coming into contact with any of Ginny's brothers.

17: Because Draco's wit comes out best when paired with a Weasley. (It's a FACT!)

18: Because we can read and write about lovely things like Draco's silver eyes or Ginny's fiery red hair or Draco's elegance and yeah...

19: Because we don't need canon support to come up with brilliant fanfics.

20. Because we don't b*tch like all the other ships do.

21. Because it goes along with any non-D/G ship you like! H/Hr? Yup. R/Hr? Check. H/L? You bet. N/L? Certainly. You get the idea...

22. "Brace yourself. You're going to want to sleep with me even more after this."

Lol, I love that quote, ahaha.

23: Because we can have Draco go with Ginny without making him totally switch his character, and vice versa.

24. Because it's all the fun of fanon!Draco-shipping without all as much the OOC!

25. Because even if you have a conflicting ship, the D/G love triangles are always so aaaaawesome! (Cough, more IC than H/Hr/D, cough, just see the DT for that, cough...)

26. Because the D/G bits are the most IC parts of the Draco Trilogy (or at least the early portion of Draco Sinister). Case in point:

"I violently despise you," [Ginny] said. "I just thought you should know that."

"What did you do to scare [Ginny] away, Malfoy?"
"Nothing," said Draco blandly. "She is afraid of her love for me."

Draco's eyes flashed. "Still in love with Harry, I see," he said with soft malice. "Same old Ginny."
Going scarlet, Ginny slammed her tea saucer down on the table and stood up. "No wonder Hermione picked Harry over you," she said as nastily as she possibly could. "You're hateful."

27. If D/G can make even Cassandra Claire's writing IC, it is logically a miracle!

because it's fun to watch as Ron turns all different colors of the rainbow XD.

I think D/G are good together because it makes ron really angry and keeps him busy going afer Draco and keeps him away from Hermione. Anything to keep ron away from Hermione is a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

The thought of D/G having lots of pink haired kids is a cute idea *you know white hair mixed with red gives you pink! dang been watching too much anime lately *

And to be more serious, because D/G fluff is so much sweeter.

I like your reasoning for #31 I go for that.

33. I like the dynamic that the fanfic writers for the D/G ship have for their stories, they way they have Draco and Ginny play off eachother is really interesting and makes for a good read.... as long as they are all still fully H/Hr compliant so I can read them of course.

34. Because D/G is only improved by love triangles.

35. Because we're the CC ship least affiliated with the whole plagiarism scandal.

36. Cause they're kids would look hot!
