Here is the challenge:

We all know Ginny a.) had a crush on Harry and b.) got Tom's old diary. Now lets make things a bit more AU. Lets say during her first year the fact that her brothers ignored her hit the girl a lot harder than in canon. Now, suppose she heard a nasty rumor about Harry and Hermione that made her very very angry...

Terms:
1.) Ginny is a bit less Lion and a lot more Snake.

2.) Draco, due to some hex/jinx/act of Merlin actually gains social skills and manages to act "cool" instead of like the inbred spoiled-rotten poster-child for the KKK portrayed in canon.

3.) Ginny and Diary still have same "Tom-manipulates-lonely-girl" - at first

4.) Rumor/letdown/etc make Ginny angry. "Heck hath no fury" angry. So she starts writing down all of her intricate and rather humilating/painful/deadly revenge fantasies down in the diary.

5.) The "Tom-sliver" doesn't just egg her on, but admires her (he is, in essence, only a shadow of a sociopathic sixteen-year-old) and decides that he'd rather stick around with her as an "equal" rather than kill her for a body.

6.) They come to an agreement, "merge" souls, but unfortunately for Tommy-boy, a sliver of a soul is much weaker than a raging girl with the Weasley stubborn streak. Ginny comes out on top, gaining lil-Tom's knowledge, skills, and a hunk more juju.

7.) Ginny does lose one thing: Her moral compass. More aptly - she becomes *almost* as sociopathic as the ex-Riddle-bits. Note: Ginny is a bit too smart for this blood purity garbage, and decides blood doesn't matter, because EVERYBODY is inherently inferior to her. =) Think Stalin rather than of Nazi.

8.) Your call as to whether Draco brings her back to the fold, or they join forces making the conflict three sided: Riddle/Dumbles/Red-Dragon

9.) Do whatever you like to Harry/Hermione - Portkey compatible or not, but no freaking Ron/Hr... or if you insist on the blasphemy, Ginny kills Hermione for the crime of "terminal stupidity" at their wedding.

Oh, if you take the challenge, please mention that you took it, and it was given by KafkaExMachina - there's a spoiler-esque reason for this request, although I doubt anybody who reads this will know why.
