merging this into a related thread ~gal-texter May2008

Hai,
In veritaserum thread, we (H/Hr shippers) used to share our favourite H/Hr moments. Why don't we share our favourite H/Hr moments here. What do you think?
hexonjellybeans12
Sounds like fun, though I doubt it will ease the shipping war. Hmmm...favorite H/Hr moment.......When he's locked himself in Buckbeak/Witherwing's room and Hermione is able to come and get him to talk. It's so cute!

Weehee~

Fave moments...

PoA!Movie -> Hermione pulling Harry's tshirt when being attacked by Whomping Willow... Hermione landing on top of Harry, Harry protecting her against werewolf... Hermione slapping Harry's hand when he's trying to hold the time-turner (haha, that one just kills me), "Ouch, that hurt" moment when Hermione throws the stone at Harry's head.
GoF!Movie -> Quidditch World Cup "Harry" screams, the hug, the bridge teasing, the "his jaw drop" moment (look at avvie), and kiss on the forehead.
GoF!Book -> "I believe you, want some toast" moment =P, training all night long for Accio charm... tongue.gif get my mind off of the gutter. teehee.
OotP -> Crushing welcoming hug, all the protecting Hermione stuff against Grawp and the centaurs, "let me help u with ur hand and scars" moment, "save harry against crucio" moment, Real UST between Harry and Hermione with the shouting and coming in closer...

I love the Gof book moment when she asks if he wants any toast. It's just so matter of fact......here he is wanting to talk about everyone hating him and she asks if he'd like some toast....I love it!!! Anyhoo....all crazyness aside....I love the sexual tension in OotP, especially the fight (shouting/ coming closer.....and then it was ruined! ruined! I think...haven't read the books in awhile.....).
Libra
Ohhhh there are soooooooo many moments that i love.....it's hard to point out the best.
But anyways....in the fourth movie i really loved the yule ball scene...where Harry's jaw drops when he sees Hermione. And the kiss on the head....squeeeeeeeeeeeeee....that was soooooo sweeeet!!!
Then the hand holding in the tent b4 the first task(right after the hug).
Oh and all the "Oh Harry" moments from all the books.
The fourth movie ws full of H/Hr moments and i really loved them all.
pumpkinpie4ever
This is a topic to post you're favorite H/Hr moments from canon. Mine are.

1. In OotP, when no one can get through to Harry after the attack on Mr. Weasly, and Hermione cancels her trip with her parents just for Harry and is the one to get through to him.
2. The entire Godric's Hollow scene. I think it showed Harry and Hermione what they could have had but they realized it just a bit too late. I was almost in tears as they walked away from the graveyard hand in hand.
3. The moment when Hermione walks into the ballroom and Harry notices for the first time how beautiful Hermione is.
4. The moment in the tent when Ron asks Hermione to choose between him or Harry, I think it shows then how much she loves Harry.

So please post your favorites and long live Harmony. thumbup.gif

I think my favorite would have to be the scene in Godric's Hollow because it's just the two of them and spoke volumes of their love for each other without them having say it out loud.
Ravenclaw(d69)
Yeah the Godrics Hollow moment is a given. The whole chapter is everything that we have ever thought about Harry and Hermione's realationship rolled into one. And that she's been with him at such an emotional moment and shes the ONLY one who has seen him cry. Just goes to show that the only person Harry shows vulnerability too is Hermione.

I tend to like some of the subtler moments. Like the brush on the head and how Harry closed his eyes at her touch. Thats powerful imagery. I also love the scene where Hermione asks "Do you trust me Harry?" and he nods his head. That was wonderful.

Deathly Hallows aside, I love the moment in Half Blood Prince which is total Harry/Hermione flirtation. When he grabs her arm and teases her about confunding McGlaggen, and how she's supposed to be a prefect. I also LOVE the Madame Pince/Filch library scene which was wonderful because it showed that Harry and Hermione could have fun times.

In OOTP I loved when she comes to Grimauld Place and shes the ONLY one who can make him come out of his room.

Also theres a scene I posted in the OBHWF This Threads for you! forum. Its in Goblet of Fire when Harry has been angry and irritated for days, and it takes Malfoy insulting Hermione too make him come lose. The qoute was that the anger "seemed to burst from a dam in his chest."

So yeah thats what I can pull of the top of my head at the moment but there is SO much more.
Ravenclaw(d69)
All right you guys I dont mean to double post but I feel that we are sort of losing sight on the whole reason we ship Harry/Hermione in the first place. We should get back in touch with our roots dont you think? tongue.gif

So bring on the qoutes and let the discussions roll! Are we not Harry/Hermione shippers? thumbup.gif
Cindy
The Godrics Hollow chapter was the most romantic and sadest chapter between Harry and Hermione. I adored the hand brushing over his hair. Also, the scene were Hermione is being tortured, and her scream "pierced through Harry like physical pain"

The famous walk around the lake as well the entire Gwarp scene we were cheated of in OOTP

And....just for my own guilty pleasure....the evil kiss lol

and Ravenclaw(d69)---I totally forgot about the Harry and Hermione flirtation....what chapter or page(s) is that on? I'd love to reread it.

I also agree about getting in touch with our roots. Maybe we should for a Harry and Hermione tribute thread....in which we post anything and everything H/Hr related....like music, videos, quotes, favorite scenes etc.....???

I don'T have the page numbers etc. but it was along these lines

Harry: Confunded anyone lately?

Reminds me PoA where Harry asks her if she's going to tell on him about something, grinning. Like he knew she wasn't going to in a million years.

Yay! I get to post the first qoute. Here it is:

QUOTE
Chapter Eleven, Page 232

[...] Ron merely guffawed gloatingly and strode off into the Hall after him, but Harry caught Hermione's arm and held her back.
"What?" said Hermione defensively.
"If you ask me," said Harry quietly, "McLaggen looks like he was Confunded this morning. And he was standing right infront of where you were sitting."
Hermione blushed.
[...]
"No," said Harry. "No, I suppose that's true. But wasn't that dishonest, Hermione? I mean, you're a prefect, arent you?"
"Oh, be quiet," she snapped, as he smirked.

I have to say I love HBP in terms of Harry/Hermione because their realationship is so different from the previous books. Finnaly some tension and some juicy fighting! Makes things intresting that yes, they can butt heads.

My second favorite HBP moment is definatly the library scene though. Another great moment for Harry/Hermione.

Edit: I tottaly agree Starbuck Jr. That PoA moment where Harry is grinning and asks if she will tell on him just shows how well he knows her.

Yeah, and I know that Herons think that Harry only did that because he wanted to confront Hermione about confunding McLaggen. But you clearly see that his intention in pulling her aside was to tease her about breaking the rules. Something that amuses him. He knows what she meant to do (doesnt he always), but that doesnt mean he cant have a little fun! tongue.gif Its really cute.

I like this one. thumbup.gif Just because Harry wasn't screaming and thrashing around like an idiot, it didn't mean he wasn't affected. Ron drove me nuts in that scene, I was dying for someone to turn around and use "Silencio!" on him. laugh.gif

Yeah someone in another thread pointed out that when Hermione is hurt Harry goes through angst for her which I think is pretty powerful. Like in CoS when Hermione was petrified he couldnt pay attention to the Weasleys around him because he couldnt get the image of Hermione out of his head. In OOTP apart from one cry of "Hermione!" everything else was internal. And now in DH as well...
BulletWords
Alas, my memory isn't what it used to be, so picking a favorite moment is limited to the standout ones. In this case one would have to be the walk around the lake, and while JK didn't write anything about it, the fact of it is...

Ron free conversation must have been more meaningful.
StarbuckJr
I just remembered this. In GoF, after second task when Harry came out of the lake and DD announced the scores, Hermione didn't have ears or eyes for anyone but Harry.

Chapter Eighteen, Page 298

"Want one, Granger?" said Malfoy, holding out a badge to Hermione. "I've got loads. But dont touch my hand, now, I've just washed it, you see; dont want a Mudblood sliming it up."
Some of the anger Harry has been feeling for days and days seemed to burst through a dam in his chest. He had reached for his wand before he'd thought what he was doing. People all around them scrambled out of they way, backing down in the corridor.
"Harry!" Hermione said warningly.
"Go on, then, Potter," Malfoy said quietly, drawing out his own wand. "Moody's not here to look after you now---do it, if you've got the guts--"
For a split second, they looked into each other's eyes, then, at exactly the same time, both acted.
"Furnunculus!" Harry yelled.

And one more:

Chapter Nineteen, Page 316

QUOTE
Hermione had come in for her fair share of unpleasantness too, but she hadn't yet started yelling at innocent bystanders; in fact Harry was full of admiration for the way she was handling the situation.
"Stunningly pretty? Her? Pansy Parkinson had shrieked the first time she had come face-to-face with Hermione after Rita's article had appeared. "What was she judging against----a chipmunk?"
"Ignore it," Hermione said in a dignified voice, holding her head in the air and stalking past the sniggering Slytherin girls sa though she couldn't hear them. "Just ignore it, Harry."

*sighs happily* in all honesty guys, I think Deathly Hallows was one of the most romantic H/Hr books in the series.
Even if they didn't get together in the end! Just the romantic setting for the graveyard scene. Oh I wish the film makers would change it so they would kiss just as they get to Harry's old house. Or if they changed it so they would go past the statue after being in the graveyard then they kiss wub.gif
But I'm kinda wondering off topic slightly!
Just so many beautiful little moments. Everytime I read a line that would be about Hermione (remembering this would be Harry's POV) I just squeeled hoping it would lead to them being together in the end...
HBP I re-read just before DH with the theory that Hermione really liked Harry and had told Ron and that was why they seemed slightly closer then previous books, because she had told him that she liked Harry. Which made me enjoy the book much more than the first time!
OOTP was brill, my favvy book really. I've re-read it so many times (skipping some parts of course).
GOF I only read once. But there were several H/Hr moments (like Harry seeing Hermione for the first time at the Yule Ball wub.gif )
POA was one big H/Hr-Fest. And I loved it!

thumbup.gif But DH, very romantic. Subtle romance which I think JKR was best at when it came to H/Hr!

DH was a very romantic H/Hr book, but I guess if I have to go with a favorite moment, mine has to be from POA,when they're riding Buckbeak to save Sirius. Just the line-"You'd better hold on to me" is very sweet as he doesn't want her to fall off. It's moments like these that make me proud to be a Harmonian. thumbup.gif

That is squee worthy.....

And it reminds me of the very first book....well, the movie anyways when they are stuck in the plant and Hermione is sucked under and she yells for Harry and Ron to TRUST her and relax. Harry does and is sucked under as well without harm while Ron continues to scream and move around.

H/Hr have soooo much more trust for each other...as is evidenced from their first year together to their last.

i know its mentioned already but... in DH that godrics hallow scene between harry and hermione would probably be my all time favorite. i mean it just like that saying "actions speak louder than words". it just stood for what harry and hermione were all about. being there and coughLOVINGcough each other. i swear i read that like twice a day maybe...? so thats why i got super pissed that JKR didnt do the harmony ending. but whatever... one womens imagination can't control ours...

I think the poetic line is "I declare you bonded for life". It's interesting that it's H/Hr gazing at eachother when this is said during Bill and Fleur's wedding and it's not Ron looking at Hermione or Harry looking at Ginny. I guess when soulmates are already married to eachother as is the case of H/Hr,marrying into the Weasley family becomes irrelevant.

perfectly węll said.

here is my list of my h/hr favorite/romantic moment..(from bơok and Movie).

1. Deathly Hallow: All most entire bơok, but expect for ###### ending of course. There are million of moment from these two in this bơok that I can't list them all. But chapter Grodic Hallow is best so far.

2. Ơrder of Phoenix: (it is second Harmony bơok and movie) There are million of romantic and powerful moment from these two from both in bơok and movie that I can't list them all. I truely think? that in this one. Hermione is truely fęll in love with Harry or she is obsessive in love...

3. PoA: Bơok and Movie: (it is first truely H/hr bible) SEXY, SEXY..
4. Gof: Bơơk and movie: H/hr has real "sexual attaction and tension' from entire bơok and movie. Ther are alot of moment..but the scene that stand out for me is "hug from tent" and Harry's jaw drop..when he sęe Hermione wearing that 'blue or pink dress" heart.gif

cos, and S.stone is lease of my hp and hhr bơok and movie.

ALL IN ALL HARMONY IS FOREVER!

Quite right, quite right. And I do have to say that it was Hermione that looked at Harry when those words were said. Nonetheless...LOVELY MOMENT. When I read that moment I literally thought " Finally! I knew it was going to happen!" I mean..why did J.K. NOT have Ginny look at Harry if they are so perfect for each other, or maybe Ron and Hermione ? BECAUSE the perfect ones for each other are Harry/Hermione. Obvious.

They are so many beautiful scenes. But what always gets to me is how Harry ALWAYS worries about Hermione. ALWAYS. In the last book, in their rescue mission at the MInistry of Magic, he makes sure he grabs her arm, he makes sure sheīs safe...itīs always like that.
Harmoniuous_Pie
Thats a good point Conan. Also during the DOM rescue Harry's reaction to Hermione getting hit by Dolohov's curse? He couldn't think and I believe JKR described it as he couldn't breathe (I'm not sure b/c I don't have the book at college with me) but he's freaking out that she might be dead until Neville tells him that he has a pulse. He doesn't freak out when Luna tells him that Ginny's been hurt, or when Ron gets attacked by the Brain which happens as Harry runs by him.

One of my favorite scenes is from CoS. Its not a scene between H/Hr its just after Hermione's been petrified (this is in the book) and McGonagall comes to get Harry and when Ron comes over she's like "Yes Weasley, perhaps you should come to." The fact that she used the word perhaps means that seeing Ron made her think "Oh well hes her friend too I'll let him join Mr. Potter and myself. . . " He wasn't the first person she thought of he was the afterthought. McGonagall knows that Harry and Hermione are closer than Ron and Hermione or even Ron and Harry.

tongue.gif Iīve never thought of that, but your completely right. Yeah, I donīt have my books with me either *so sad* but itīs allright. I also like the scene where ( I canīt exactly remember what book it was in, but I believe that it was Goble of Fire, seeing as how there are a couple of chapters where Ron is jealous of Harry and itīs only Harry and Hermione) And Hermione and Harry are about to go for a really early walk to talk around the lake and she brings toasts for them both. Now, isnīt that a really sweet scene? She worries for him. heart.gif
kimmypotter93
my fav harry and hermione moments are the hug in the 2nd movie.
when they get saved by buckbeak in the third movie.
when hermione gives harry a hug in the fifth movie.
oh and in the 7th book when they are at the graveyard at christmas when they are disguised as as an old married couple.
Conan
*Iīm finally back!* hehehe.

Well, I remembered a really good scene a bit ago. The HUG..on the last movie, and in the book as well, she practically KNOCKS him off. Theyīve oly not seen each other for a bit of summer...and she literally crushes him with a deep hug. You know, a hug is a very sweet thing...

And thereīs another scene. I donīt remember which one it is in...but I think itīs after CoS, but all I remember is that thereīs Harry and Hermione with Pig flying above them...Do you get it? Well, have you ever heard of that saying " this or that will happens when PIGS fly? " Well...Harry and Hermione (the big no-no) is happening, because Pig is flying! hehhee.

And to the other question up above in another message I think, no I canīt find that scene because my books...sadly...arenīt with me...But thatīs ok, because my memory still works. L.O.L I really donīt remember when it is...and Iīm pretty sure that itīs after PoA because Ron doesnīt get Pig until after that book.

Anyways..when did Harry say that phrase up above? the with " Do you trust me?" Something says that he said it...but I canīt remember in what context..could you enlighten a fan without her books please? L.O.L

Another gorgeous moment yet on the Harry Hermione goody shipness....

Harry and Ginnyīs get together. *hides from throwing rocks* I know this may sound wierd, but I like that moment BECAUSE itīs so pathetically set up. Harry and Ginny see each other, and without thinking he kissed her...aaawww, how adorable. yucky.gif See what I mean? Harry is the PROTAGONIST OF THE BOOK, heīs the STAR, hence the name of the books "Harry Potter and..." And here it is, A VERY IMPORTANT aspect of Harryīs growing up...His first love (or at least "real" relationship" ) and we get NO INSIGHT ON IT, but barely TWO sentences form the author describing great walks around the lake with Ginny.

Seriously...how ridiculous is that? Thereīs more insight on Harry and Hermioneīs relationship than there is on Ginny and Harry!

Huh?

I'm sorry, I'm having a little difficulty understanding what you are talking about....

Does anybody think that the 6th and 7th movies are going to be good?
I mean if they "follow the book" like they did with the others maybe the movies will be even more H/Hr....

Never mind, its probably just my delusional mind.... whistling.gif

2. The entire Godric's Hollow scene. I think it showed Harry and Hermione what they could have had but they realized it just a bit too late. I was almost in tears as they walked away from the graveyard hand in hand.

Spot on. I gotta agree that the entire Godric's Hollow scene was my favorite as well.

He put his arm around Hermione's shoulders, and she puts hers around his waist, and they turned to leave in silence and walked away through the snow, past Dumbledore's mother and sister, back toward the dark church and the out-of-sight kissing gate.

I love how there's the word kissing in it, LOL, although it was very far from the kissing as in lip lock. whistling.gif

What I meant to ask was...Where did the quote "Do you trust me?" Come up in the books? As in, what situation..
