So I'm kind of...sort of new to the forums and am frustrated that I'm dubbed a nu-be okay not really but I'd really like to change it =D

Anybody know how? Everyone seems to have these "smut fiend", "pumpkin pie eater" and other craziness as theirs. It isn't in My Control.. well as far as I can see I'm probably just pretty blind lol but anyone know?

Click on My Controls. Under Personal Profile you'll find Edit Profile info. Click on that, and right up at the top should be Custom Member Title. Fill it in as you please.

Yeah, at first I couldn't find the thing either. NAPPA had to change it for me, it just wasn't showing up. But it does now!

So I would try refreshing the page Nell gave you if you cant find it after that.

I don't want my member title to say nu-be anymore, I'd like to be able to change it. How do I do that, step by step?

I'm not able to customize a member title because no where on my control panel does it give me that option. I also noticed that others like me don't have member titles peobably because we have different formats of this site. I had someone show me and I noticed it wasn't where it was supposed to be (under where it says Your Personal Profile, This Section is Optional, it skips right to my birthdate) or anywhere else for that matter. Could it be possible that some peoples control panels are different from others? Thanks.

It might be because you need to be a member for a a set period of time *shrugs* cause same thing happened to me when I joined, but after a month it "appeared".

That's weird: the title editing option showed to me almost immediately, when I went having a look at how to change my details. I'm a new user and, as you can see, I could change my title...

I'm really sorry if this has already been discussed - I couldn't find the answer anywhere...

How do I change the message that says "Ickle Firstie" on it? The one above the avatar. Is it in control panel?

*hehe* I had that same problem too. Go to "My Controls again and to the left, click on "Edit Profile info." From there, just change the Custom Member title.

I never had that option until I reached a certain number of posts. Did anyone else have to?

I'm not sure...I've always been able to do it. That's strange. Wait! I never bothered with it for so long though. Maybe you can only reach that part when you post enough. Hmmmm...never thought of that.

From past experiences on message boards such as this, it's all about the post-count.

It'll change once you hit the magic number of posts. What's that number? No idea... it varies.

Usually it's 50.

No, dears, you have to go to "My Controls" on the top, select "Edit Profile info" and then in the line that says "custom member title", change it to whatever ya want

Haha, you're not dim! Go to My Controls, then Edit Profile Info, then where it says Custom Member Title, type in the title you want, and save the changes.

mine doesn't have that... I looked about 20 times and I still couldn't see it there. I think something's wrong... Is it just me?

I know I've mentioned this as a postscripty thing in some of my posts, I still need help. When I go into Edit Profile Info, I can't find the Option to change my Custom Member Title so that I'm not an "ickle firstie". The only options I have are:

I've checked every single day, nearly once every hour I'm on the forum so I definitely have never had it. I think it was because I signed up during the site upgrade or something. Am I the only one with this problem?

Actually, I believe that it's because of your post count. I think you need between 20-30 posts to have a custom title for yourself. Just keep posting and eventually it will pop up

yeah i had that same problem and i couldn't figure it out and one day after i had about 20 posts it just showed up..so keep posting and checking and eventually it will be there.

oh, okay. i thought it might be that. thanks for letting me know...now i should just post heaps of short messages or something just to change it. i only need about 7 after this one

Er.. Makes me feel a bit stupid saying that I'm not one when I kind of am. Anyways...I was just wondering how you change the thing above your avatar. Could someone tell me?

If you look in "My Controls" and click on the "Edit Profile Info" link, at the top theres a slot for you to type your "Custom Member Title"

That's odd. I can't find it. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I can only see places to put your bday, URL, ICQ, AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, Integrity, Location, Interests, IRC staus, author ID, and ff.net name. Why can't I find it??

*sighs* I had this same problem. You have to have a certain number of posts before you can change the "Ickle Firstie." Try posting a bit more and keep checking if it shows up on the 'Edit Profile" page. Hope that helps!

I didn't even know you had to get a certain number of posts first.. I didn't think to change it until I finally noticed that slot. I just assumed it had been there the entire time

*cues trumpets* Figured it out! Thank you to all who posted here! Actually, I didn't see the two new posts until AFTER I figured it out. I checked in the Newbie forum and they said the same thing. To everyone who wants to know: you need 17 posts to recieve the Member Title slot.

no you don't i only had 16 when I got my box. Hmm...maybe its even 15, I'm not sure. I just know I had it when I only had 16 posts.

I've been wondering myself, and first I thought this was like another forum I've been in, where the members suggest titles for newbies (you know, to get to know them really well first and everything or another one where you actually have to get a specific number of posts which are changed depending on the number of posts you have (unless I'm mistaken and it's actually more like in here... God I'm ignorant. LOL.)

Anyway, glad to hear it! I'm excited to be able to change my title from being an ickle firstie, because Facade just gave me a wonderful idea for a title!

Go to My Controls and click on "Personal Profiles". In there, the very first line allows you to change your name from Ickle Firstie! ^^

You can change them as often as you want. That's one of PK's cool features. More of those stuff here.
