I probably will do it. I'm having 1 and half month holiday and I'm planning to reread the books before DH comes out. So, I might make an effort and count the "Oh, Harry!"s.

I read through the whole of the 6th book and found three. PoA also has three. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there isn't that much. Just maybe a couple more. I haven't read through the other books though. There is a lot of "Harry!" squealing or moaning.

I love the "Oh, Harry" moments....they show how concerned Hermione is about Harry and i just think they're darn cute!

I think when hermione says Oh harry! its because she cares for his wellbeing. Note that she says Oh harry for OHnly harry, not once has she said Oh ron!

No, I think she said Oh Ron once. Oh well. That can't compare to these here anyway. Wouldn't it be cool if someone could make a fanfic that includes all of these "oh Harry"s?

I know, that is such a sweet thing to say. I can just hear her saying with so much emotion in her eyes. *sigh* now if only she said, "Oh, Harry, just shut up and kiss me!" hahah

Now if she said that, I might just faint. And then, as with the "fanciable" speech, I'd have to go over and read it at least twenty times, and then squee until the neighbors thought I was mentally impaired (not that they don't already)

I just finished PoA (I know, how will I get through GoF, OotP, and HBP in 20-some days? Eek.) and I found a few "Oh, Harry"'s myself.

Just wait for the epilogue in DH, when we get to find out how everyone started to 'grow up', or so to speak.

No matter what the context it was written in the books, in my mind "oh, harry!" always reads like a caress. It all started with the books & cleverness speech. From then on the phrase took on a new meaning as the series progressed.

It won't be long now 'til Deathly Hallows finally reveal what "oh, harry!" is all about.
