Ahem, you rumbled it. Of course, it was entirely a bit of fun for a certain day of the year and the topic was simply something that had a popular appeal. It was meant to be affectionate and nothing worse than a trick that Hermione might play. I have seen my hastily Photoshopped Equus picture pop up in other places since (btw I did see the Equus which was great!)
The story did drift unexpectedly onto Reuters at one stage and the rashbre central joke was whether JK would fire some kind of spell at us.
In the event, truth was stranger than fiction with that nasty person riding on Joanne Rowling's coat-tails with the so-called guide to H Potterdom.
