When you write your Draco/Ginny fanfiction, who do you picture as portraying them? Tom Felton/Bonnie Wright? Other look-alikes? Or your own version of them?

Personally, I think of the first pair, haha.

Well i write a lot of Post-Hogwarts stuff so i see them as a bit older... hmm let me think. Kirsten Dunst or maybe Claire Danes as Ginny and James Masters as Draco.

Claire Danes is one of my favorite actresses, great choice ^^

I'm usually off in my own fantasy land, with my own version of Draco and Ginny.

I think my versions of Draco and Ginny are more like stuff I have seen from fanart...

i agree with furiae. i guess i just have my own versions of them in my head, though Ginny always looks like Bonnie Wright in my mind, because i think she portrays Ginny REALLY well.....just not so realistic. I watch a lot of anime, but I dont see them like that, since it's not manga, but actual books....I dont know. Guess they lok kind of like my drawings in my mind. *shrugs*good idea for a question though.

Hmm.. interesting you should ask that question. But mainly when I read fan fiction, I have my imagined what they look like for myself.

when i read fanfiction about them i think of it as Tom Felton and Bonnie Wright
because well....i dont no but i love draco( my name says it all ) and i like ginny in the movies so i picture them and not another pair

Whenever I write my fanfics, I portray draco as Tom Felton....... Just because I absolutely love him and thinks he is perfect for draco malfoy, but for Ginny I usually make her up in my mind and describe how I see her. Because I usually write around their 6th and 7th years or even out of horgwarts, and Bonnie Wright just seems to young.

I agree with JamieLou...I picture Tom Felton because I can already sort of picture him older, and besides- I just don't see Draco any other way.

But for Ginny, Bonnie just seems a bit young for the types of fics I read/write, so I usually just make up my own redheaded weasley for the occasion.

Me - Tom Felton for Draco, of course And Ginny... Well, I agree. Bonnie is a little too young, so I just think up my own Ginny.

Because honestly, they did casting for the characters really well.

Tom Felton with some other actress. I don't picture Ginny like Bonnie at all.

I can picture Tom Felton as being older, so it isn't that difficult for me to visualize him as he is when reading post-Hogwarts fiction, but Bonnie Wright has a very young-look to her, but somehow it works. I have a very broad imagination.

When I write D/G fiction, I envision them as very different people, a sort of more personal versions of Draco and Ginny. I don't mind imagining Tom Felton or Bonnie Wright as their respective characters but it's sort of restrictive that way. It's almost like I'm confined and have to mold their characters in a certain way.

I don't see them as Tom Felton or Bonnie Wright at all, but that's because I read the first four books long before I saw the movies and I figured out what I thought the characters looked like long before they even cast PS. Bonnie Wright is closer to my Ginny than Tom Felton is to my Draco, but...eh, they're not close enough for me to change my mental pictures.

Of course, on top of all that, Tom Felton is my baby sister's age and Bonnie Wright is even younger. I can't people kids that age romantically. Yeek.

I guess since Tom Felton is about the same age as me, I can picture him as Draco in my mind, but Ginny is younger than me so it's hard to picture her doing alot of the things I have read them two doing in fics.

I'd have to say it depends on the fic I'm reading. If they're still in school, then it alternates between imagining Tom & Bonnie older, and just my own vision of Draco & Ginny. For Post-Hogwart's stuff, it's always my own characters.

Tom's loffly, I adore him as Draco very much, but for Adult!Draco, I think he's too ... rounded-off? Do you know what I mean? I picture Draco as a bit sharper looking. I don't think I'm making sense. Ah well.

It depends on the fic. There, that's my final answer.

Yeah, I know what you mean, vanillapuf, about the rounded-off-ness. He looks kind of young, and I picture Draco with sharper cheek bones....I think it makes my mind-version of Draco more threatening. But that's just me. I think of Ginny as an older version of Bonnie, but with a better death-glare.

I think Tom is cutesy and great to drool over, but for post-Hogwarts fics, I totally agree that he needs to be more defined and well...older looking.

Since I write and read a lot of fics that are older, I get to picture them as older. I generally picture Draco as Tom but more angular and finished as you guys said. I also picture him as losing the scrawny little kid look and getting tall, building muscle. (Can't wait for those movies! lol) For Ginny, it is somewhat Bonnie, but it is mostly a compilation of howthe stories that I read describe her. I pick different attributes that I like and make a Super Ginny... lol
Hmmm... well... that's what I'm thinking. Carry on with ignoring me... lol

Hmm... Well, I never imagine Tom Felton as Draco. Even though I absolutly LOVE him. *squeezes Tom plushie* I think it's because he just seems too... I don't know... cute? My Draco's too mean. I sorta had Malfoy pictured before, anyway.

Those pictures are nice. I was completely opposite you... that Draco wasn't really how I pictured him, yet the Ginny was pretty close. She was really pretty-looking in that picture.

Sometimes I don't even really have a mental image of how a character looks honestly... not one you could map out on paper anyway.
