Reassemble Snape's name and you get...
-gal-texter
Hi! First of all, I am a newbie here! So... hello, all! :)
Some info: I love Harry Potter, and am a big L/J Shipper. I haven't written many fanfictions, and none are posted anywehre. I am planning on doing some more though and posting them on fanfiction.net.
ANYWAY:
I just have some sugguestions etc. about some things.
I saw on a site that if you rearange the name of Severus Snape, it comes out some odd name with the last name of 'Evans'.... hmm... I wonder if it means anything?? If you take out the last name of evans from his full name, the letters left are, 's,s,e,e,r,u,p' ... as name, perhaps?
I have been reading posts about Lily and James etc. regarding Voldemort and Slytherin. Things like that and I have to say, anything is possible but, we can (maybe) assume that Voldemort is not and will never be related to Harry because JK Rowling said in an interveiw when asked if Voldemort was realted to Harry is some way, she replied with a "I'm laughing now" and then added something like, 'wouldn't that be something like Star Wars?'.
I dunno. Show me the errors of my ways! lol! ^_^
Eh, I'm open to anything. Because, considering as how I don't know anything more than the author tells us, my guess is as good as yours.
:)

I don't think that Voldemort has a blood relation to Harry. It has been said that Lily came from a pure muggle family, the only one with magic in her line. We don't know about James besides the fact that he is a pureblood, but Dumbledoe stated that the line of Slytherin ended with Voldemort, meaning that if Harry was really related to Voldemort, then the line of Slytherin would not have ended.
Though it is safe to assume that they could be almost related with the similarites they share. Time after time it is stated that they are so much alike, because Voldemort gave part of himself to Harry, giving Harry some of his power, his strength, his weakness, his wisdom, his folly. In a way they are related, but it isn't in the blood, it's more of a magical bond created in a moment of haste and hatred.

yes, its persues evans, which i interpret to mean either he persued her for a relationship or he persued her and james to warn them as they were in danger and he was a double person (working on both sides)
obviously it could mean other things, we just don;t know!

Never saw this thread before. How prophetic this has turned out to be!

Aye it did. Always brings a huge smile on my face when I see people with theories that turn out to be true!

I'm probably being a killjoy to point this out, but "Pursues Evans" would only work if Snape's first name were spelled "Sevurus."
And "Perseus Evans" is extremely ironic, implying that Snape was Perseus to Lily's Andromeda -- though with his ego, he probably did see himself that way, and James as the sea monster to which the mythological Andromeda was being sacrificed! Just so you know...
