D/G is my OTP.

D/G has always been my OTP, and probably always will. Even after HBP, which kind of put me off HP and HP fandom for awhile, D/G still rocked. Even when everyone was calling Ginny horrendous names and feeling disappointed and surprised she was "nothing like the Ginny we imagined" I still loved D/G. Personally, it's eternal.

BUT WHY?

I'll start off, and edit my post to add contributions as we go.


Why Draco/Ginny is Undeniably the Best Ship EVER
1.) Because pink-haired children obviously own.
2.) Because they're perfect for each other in every way.
3.) Hottest NC-17 fics of any pairing in any fandom.
4.) Conflict. The cornerstone to all stories, old and new.
5.) 'Cause Harry'll probably die anyway.
6.) Because Pansy has a pug nose, and no Malfoy heir could ever have a pug nose.
7.) Hottest G fics around, I mean, come on, they're hot in any rating.
8.) WHY FREAKING NOT?
9.) Because Shakespeare, Robert Frost, and Revlon give them props
10.) Because they're beautiful, individually or together.
11.) Because we love imagining Draco being hexed by a hoard of redheads.
12.) Because we know Draco's not what he seems like in the books
13.) Because Ron would turn an interesting shade of red if only he knew
14.) Because Opposites attract.
15.) It's the bad boy/good girl ship.
16.) Because it lets Hermione have Harry.
17.) Because sometimes the impossible IS possible.
18.) If nothing else, it's a grand way for either of them to be a rebel.
19) Harry is a clutz, and ginny will be too sophisticated to be with him
20.) We like proving others wrong! (Ginny/Harry eww who thought of that??!!)
21.) They are both stubborn (stubborns attract...didn't you know!)
22.) Because Draco is exactly how he seems in the books, and he could still find true love with Ginny.

I've never gotten the "D/G" ship, but am definitely not one to harass; I ship H/Hr for Pete's sake so I know how it feels. I do agree with the "cause it leaves Harry free for Hermione", though!

Maybe we will see D/G, but only if we get bad-a$$ Ginny who actually turns out to be evil! That would be pretty cool and I think D/G would work then!

You know I don't think there is no hope for Draco in the being 'good' sense, I mean he'll never be a Harry Potter, but hey he didn't have it in him to kill Dumbledore. I say there is still some hope for the kid. And D/G rocks.

Hmmm imo D/G seems like the most classic type of romance. It would be very romeo/juliet.

and whoever said ginny malfoy sounds much better than ginny potter, that is absolutely true. Your not supposed to draw a basis of marriage upon names but what the heck Ginny malfoy and Hermione Potter all the way!

(Hermione Weasley is the most disgusting name i've ever heard. how many syllables is that? what 15? . i can't help it but Hermione Potter has such a good ring to it that that alone should be the fundamental fact that hhr should happen!)
