Okay, I know that nearly every single one of you here at this wonderful site have a different opinion about what song best symbolises h/hr, r/l, l/j, d/g, or any ship for that matter. But I believe I may have found a pretty little tune that actually seems to encapsulate all of Portkey's main ships, and its overall attitude! Brand New Love Song


It's by a Japanese Rock group called The Pillows. Here's how I break it down:

0.04-0.22: Ron/Luna. a dreamy, slightly dotty riff over a slightly uncoordinated, confused guitar.

0.22-0.42: Harry/Hermione. a pair of guitars, perfectly in harmony with each other, over a steady, reliable drumbeat.

0.42-1.08: Lily/James. a seriously cool guitar (james), playing over a more shy, tentative one which, at first, doesn't seem to want to join in (lily). uplifting, with just just a hint of sadnees and tragedy.

1.08-1.34: Draco/Ginny. Dark, gothic guitar that's nearly balanced out by the sweeter one that's supporting it. It also reeks of forbidden love.
