I ended up having to combine the romance/comedy and the drama categories, since many entries, although good stories, were considered ineligible due to either their publication date or their incompletion. Please limit discussion on this thread to the above fics only. Flames and the like will not be tolerated.

Wow, this is a HARD category (I hope I'm allowed to make comments here).

Each of these stories is superlative beyond even an annual award - they are already classics.

Celebrate, a wonderful and under-recced story about the -end- of a story, is just SO unique it amazes me each time I reread it, and it never fails to give the reader a warm contented feeling.

Pink Elephant is all about the perfect turn-of-phrase. It's well-worded, well-written, funnier even than bouncing ferrets and oddly romantic without that ikky aftertaste.

The art of seduction is hot and sweet and light - like good Chinese food. :)

ALL of the nominees deserve recognition - it's hard to choose just one!

Gotta go with the Art of Seduction...It's unbelievable...funny, cute, and unbelievably sweet. I love Hermione and Harry in this story and I read it before I go to bed every night just to get me to have a good feeling...it better win!

yeah, i loved Art of Seduction, but i got to go with Secrets, Lies, and the Daily Prophet, because there is such an interesting plot to it. Hermione is Great in it, and it is an all around great story. But i have to agree, it is a difficult categorie!!!!

i loved the art of seduction too its soo cool how hermiones in slytherin and harry and her get together in the end anyways ya i voted for the art of seduction

I had to go with L.C. McCabe's Secrets, Lies, and the Daily Prophet because of the superb writing style. You could tell that she wasn't in this just for some recognition or kinky smut. She was in it for the art that is in Harry Potter and FanFiction. She's here to redeem the realm of FanFIction to where it should be... right up there with the original... not a cheap knockoff, but something that can compete with the original in class, character, and pure originality and fun.

So hard to choose. I mean there is all those great stories, and some of them didn't get nominated :'( becuase of the rules. I want to vote, but I can't.... There is a bug, that's not letting me :'(

I'm not sure what to vote for though. Linda's fic is beautiful. The plot, the depth, the simly amazing characterization. Ryoko's fic was really good. Clelebrate was great. It's hard to choose. The okelani sisters are amazing, and I don't think anyone needs to be told that.... if you haven't read them do so.. Amazing! *wibbles* I guess it was gods way of not making me choose. So it's a blessing in disguise.

Oooh! I'm so glad "Harry Potter and the Pink Elephant" by Akskully is on here! That fic absolutely kicks arse! Oh, it's gotta be the funniest thing I've ever read! Everyone I've come into contact with in the past few months knows how much I love that story. I'm sure my dog and cats are sick to death of me going on and on about how awesome "Harry Potter and the Pink Elephant" is, but oh well. Vote for HP and the Pink Elephant, folks, it rocks!

I have a suggestion for the Novel-Length fics category.. we need to have a category for Canon-Based, and for AU or similar fics.. Was discussing with Erin (sugarjet) on Yahoo a few nights or so ago, and we both wished we had the capabilities for multiple votes.. But alas, we do not...

I had to choose between Epiphanies and Art of Seduction in this one, and one of them, as it was written before OotP does have Canonical Base.. yet Art of Seduction, as anyone who has read it thouroughly or more than once would know.. Is so AU it's not even funny.

Just my two knuts.. Would like to know what you all think, of course.
