Hi, I'm an H/Hr shipper, but a couple of days ago I was browsing D/G fics on FanFiction, and this one author wrote:

Erm, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most of the D/G-ers here ship Hermione with Harry.

But, I think if D/G-ers don't pair Hermione with Harry, they pair her with Ron, or with no one. It all depends on the writer.

I see Hermione with Ron. I don't know why but I just do. Harry's off being the hero, so right now girls just aren't his main priority, which makes his life of girls go to the back of my head, you know? Maybe you don't, but that's cool.

Many H/H stories I've read also has D/G. So I'm voting for Harry in this poll.

Hands down Harry! Come come now, why else would I be at portkey? *laughs* Sure I don't go into the H/Hr forums, but that doesn't mean I don't like them. I've actually written H/Hr, I know *gasp* I wrote something other than D/G.

Er- yeah... anyway. I think it's going to be Harry in the end mainly because he knows what he feels. Just look at OotP. Ron still doesn't even know he likes her yet (as far as we know). And no, I am not a Ron hater...

I think Harry. My first ship to sail was H/Hr after all. But one point towards R/H is Herm would be able to prevent Ron from ripping off a certain beloved blondie's head.

But I still totally & whole heartedly support H/Hr!

Yea, D/G might never happen, and we can dream. But, I think H/Hr have a good chance of happening, even if it does go R/Hr first, then switch to H/Hr.

Hermione is Harry's Girl,
I always stick Hermione wit Harry...but on one occation when all these R/Hr shippers were being mean to me, I was like "Fine," and I stuck Hermy with Ron, then I hit myself with a stuffed animal and started writing more H/Hr fics...

I remember once I read a D/G ficlit that had R/Hr shipping in it, I stoped reading it. But now I continue reading the fics and thinks that the author should have pairde Hermione with Harry or Snape. Lol

Well, I know porkey is for Harry/Hermione shippers, but I really can't ever see them getting together. In the books, J.K Rowling always seems to have little things happen that seem to show that Hermione and Ron will get together, like all of their little fights and in the end of CoS Hermione hugs Harry, but chickens out with Ron and only shakes his hand..... They both seemed relieved about that. And then in the fourth book, Ron was so protective of her when she was with Krum. Well that's just my opinion!

Anyone want to know something funny? I LOVE RON!!! Even more than Harry, and one of my friends that doesn`t ship anyone asked me why I didn`t ship R/Hr. (This was BEFORE the 5th book was out.) What came tumbling out of my mouth was this: 'Cause J.K.`s gonna put Ron with a smart blonde.

H/Hr!!

Harry is just my natural reaction to the question "who do you pair Hermione with." They are pretty much my prime ship. However I also really like how D/G is portrayed. These two pairs don't necessarily have to be paired together all the time (H/Hr D/G), but it does work out!

It has to be R/Hr for me. H/Hr usually squick me. They just so so very wrong. (in my opinion) only a few H/Hr fics Ive read have held any interest for me. Im a Ginny fan through and through and she is my fave to pair with anyone, although D/G is probably my fave.

I am an avid slasher tho (and femmeslasher) so I have been known to do many Ginny/Hermione fics.

Well if the Draco/Ginny thing goes through then the obvious choice would be to put Harry and Hermione together.

Only I don't like that idea. Rowlings obviously hints to Ron and Hermione getting together, and I want it to happen, because they're so much alike it's scary. Their personalites clash, yet it makes the perfect pair.

But now you wonder what happens to Harry. I don't see him pairing up with anyone now that Rowlings pointed out in book 5 that Ginny is over her crush. We've seen how Harry is around girls and I don't think he has the time or patience to deal with them. I also think that he'd want to make sure Voldemort didn't hurt the ones he loves, so he'd make sure and push everyone away from him, in turn protecting those he loves.

I used to pair Hermione up with Ron, but then I got convinced somehow that Harry maybe needs her more than Ron does. And besides, its harder to find someone who can actually suit up to Harry.

Okay, I know I already responed to this topic but I had more to say. I am currently writing a new fic and stumbled upon something interesting. Now, I voted for Ron with Hermione but when I was writing, it was so much easier to pair Harry up with Hermione. I know someone just said that but I didn't take much notice to it until now.... that's it...

Well, I chose Hermione. I've read all the arguments for both sides, but what it comes down to, is that I was shipping H/Hr before I know what shipping was, since book 1. Sad, but yeah... I really see R/Hr as being something a little too volatile. I see that it could happen, but I don't see it lasting.

Harry, apparently probably the more feasible answer among Harry/Hermione-ers and Portkey is a H/Hr site.

I would agree with Harry, but if since the focus is not spotlighted on R/Hr in a D/G story... I don't really care that much.

As long as they don't give R/Hr a huge spotlight other than notifying us that they are going out, couples, married or whatever. But it really gets on my nerves if a D/G story's plot gets out of hand and suddenly turns R/Hr-centric.

As you can see at Portkey, the moderators archive stories with D/G and R/Hr, sometimes and even suggestions of H/G. The rational reason for that is probably if the story's very good, and doesn't give the not-desired ship a big part, Portkey would archive it.

Is that a good explanation of my thoughts on this? Hope so.

H/Hr. I really don't care much for Ron. Although I only write D/G ship fics as of right now, if I did write anything else it would probably be H/Hr. And anyway, H/Hr just seems right. I mean, yeah maybe in book 4 and 5 there was some sort of attraction between Ron and Hermione, but I don't think it will last. Harry and Hermione all the way! Right after Draco and Ginny of course... ^.^

I don't see how Harry "needs" a girlfriend at all, based on canon. He has tons going on in his life already, and you saw how clueless he was with Cho in book 5. Plus, he didn't even really care about relationships at all. I don't think Harry needs Hermione as anything more than a friend.

That's nice that you think that, but PK has a rule that says you need to be civil and that statement is just pushing it a little bit. I mean as a H/Hr shipper it's nice to hear that, but R/Hrs are reading this, or atleast some are, and I think you should set a good example as a H/Hr shipper.

And the thing I wanted to say the most...THIS THREAD is to say who D/G shippers ship Hermione with! Not to say H/Hr is better then R/Hr, or that R/Hr is gross, or that Ron belongs to Luna, or ANYTHING else. Please rememmber to be civil. We don't want any conflict at all with neighboring ships--and I can smell some nasty feelings going around already. Keep this thread ON topic.

I prefer to have H/Hr in D/g stories, it just makes more sense to me.

In my own fics I tend to pair Hermione with Harry since it's my next ship after D/G. Still there are a ton of other reasons why I do.

Harry's always been paired with Ginny until D/G shippiness came around but I can't say I'd only pair Hermione with Harry since I ship D/G. I mean I've read incredible fics with Hermione and Snape and Hermione with Ron. I think when writing D/G, H/Hr just seems to click with me after reading the POU (which makes sense since POU is the first fanfiction I ever read).

I think it's only Harry/Ginny that makes me really queasy - I'd sooner read a fic about Draco and Neville getting it on...hmm, actually I have...

It's all a matter of courtesy I think (for me) when writing H/Hr. I mean Portkey was the site I wanted to put my fiction on, not ff.net, and I noticed the little "you'd get your application processed sooner with H/Hr in it". lol that's how I started writing H/Hr but I'm really open about other ships with Hermione (EXCEPT with Draco) though I can't see Harry with anyone else though...well, maybe Draco. BUT I write H/Hr not only because PK ships H/Hr, but because I also really loff the ship

Hermione BELONGS with Ron, and I know this is a question of who do "D/Gers pair Hermione with" so let me go on the record saying I AM A HARDCORE GINNY/DRACO shipper so...I say Hermione gets Ron. Opposites attract, and being a Ginny/Draco shipper you have to take that into mind.

So...G/D=Opposite.
R/Hr=Opposite

It makes sense, you can do so much with their relationships and explore new emotions and such. With Harry/Hermione it's too 2D; it's boring.

Oh...I'm an Anti-Harry/Hermione shipper...

But other than that, Hermione gets Ron DAMMIT!

my first HP fanfic was read not even considering romance, but I kind of fell into the whol H/Hr thing. The, when I began reading D/G (VEYR GOOD!!! I LVOE D/G!!) I saw that a lot of the stories i was reading had R/Hr in them, and i didnt mind it, but i really think (considerng the interviews with JK) that it'll be R/Hr. I dont know, I like both.

I think because Portkey is a D/G and a H/Hr site, most people here ship Hermione with Harry. I'm a rather rabid Ron/Hermione shipper. Anyway, I think that the poll is going to be a little off because of the nature of the site *notes that almost 70% of D/G shippers here ship H/Hr* so it doesn't necessarily reflect the feelings of most D/G shippers.

Well, whatever. It's still fun.

Yeah, I like Harry the most when it comes to Hermione pairings. I used to like Draco/Hermione for a REALLY short while (hehe it only took me a little while to realize how wrong that was!!!) but then I read one with Ginny/Draco, and I'm now addicted. It's too bad that I think in the book Hermione might go with Ron, 'cause he's soooooooooooo jealous in the 4th book, but we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?

Most D/G fics I have read have had R/Hr on the side. But I do like H/Hr but I voted Ron since the number of fics with the R/Hr side ship outnumber the H/Hr ones. (of those that I've read, anyway.)

I voted Harry though I like Hermione with Snape.. but I don't have nothing against Harry/Hermione either.. I don't like Hermione with Ron, I think their relationship would be boring and Ron needs a non-Gryffindor girl. (and by the way, I just read one really great Ron/Pansy fic.. )

Im going to say that Hermione should be paired up with Ron... only because their relationship seems so obvious...

Well, Harry and Hermione is just OUT, Ron and Hermione is ok, but I would say Draco Malfoy. I mean, I support both Draco/Ginny AND Draco/Hermione. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anyone supports that. So Ron, I guess, though I still don't like it very much.
