I was on the web the other day and it said on a site called Lily's 2nd child (girl) when I was looking for a Harry/Hermione story. The site said Hermione was James/Lily's, I read it and thought Ginny would make more sense than Hermione, so I ask you which one of the 3 main Harry Potter girls (Hermione, Ginny, or Luna) is James/Lily's daugther
remeber you can pick ANYTHING (like looks )

Who Is Harry's sister?

here is why I think Ginny could be James/Lily's over Hermione or Luna
Ginny- She was in slug club (Lily was too),
- it does not say (or it could) but I think Lily had a cat and Ginny likes them, - she is good at quidditch (like James) plays seeker like Harry but then Chaser like James,
-popular like James - as Brown eyes (James has hazel (green/brown)
- red hair like Lily and I think Lily is short (it does not say) I say this becaues Harry is said to be short and James is tall so most likey Lily is short
-Ginny is cruel like James to some people like (James has Snape) (Ginny as Fleur and Draco and someother people) - it does not say this but I think Lily as freckles when she was a kid and Ginny does have freckles
- Ginny is said to be very powerful so is Lily/James/Harry
- She sevived the dark lord so did James/Lily (3 times) and Harry
- she is a good acter - She is talented and so is James
- jinxing (or use spells on people) and James does too
- She sounds somewhat cocky to me in the 6th book about how she is talking about Fleur and James IS cocky - I do not remeber if it say if Ginny an rulebreaker - Troblemaker ( broke into broke into the family broom shed and took her brothers brooms from the age of 6)
- James play with a shitch but plays Chaser and Ginny likes to play chaser more that seeker
- Lily/James/Harry/Ginny are ALL loyal to Dumbledore (Ginny called DA, Dumbledor's Army)
Now here is were I like THIS fact
Voldmort, did want to kill James, and Harry and Ginny but NOT Lily
It's unknow why he did not give James a choses but did Lily, he took Ginny down to the CoS to kill her and He as ALWAYS want to kill Harry, that laves a fact that Ginny could be a Potter by blood. Harry's brithday is July 31 1980 and James/Lily died Oct. 31 1981, There is just thr rigth amot of time BETEEW Harry and Ginny's births that Ginny could be Harry's sister becaues Ginny's Brithday is August 11 1981, ps Dumbledore asked Hagrid what took him so long to get from Harry's home to the Dursley's, He most like want to the Weasleys and give them Ginny and becaues of HOW she LOOKS she would fid in.[/color]

As far as I am aware Lily and James never had a another child, or either of them illigimatly, so therefore harry does not have a sister. I think you have read a fanfic story that has made something up there! As it certinaly isnt written or really implied anywhere that Harry has a sister or there was another child for James and Lily, legitimatly or illigitimatly.

'Twould be an interesting idea to explore in fanfic - and I certainly wouldn't say anything bad to someone who wrote something along those lines - but it doesn't quite fit canon.

I seem to remember someone saying that Harry was the last of the Potter line, and JKR specifically said that Ginny is the first girl to be *born* into the Weasley family for generations. Bill and Charlie would've been home on August 11th and were either there for the birth if Molly gave birth at home or when Ginny and Molly returned from the hospital a few days afterward. It'd be hard for Ginny to show up 2 1/2 months later and not raise some eyebrows.

interesting theory but highly unbelieveable. James and Lilly never got the chance to have a second child. I'm sure they would have had they not been murdered. Even if they had another child I wouldn't picture it to be anywhere close to looking or being like either of those girls. Kuddos on the theory though.

Interesting theory, but not at all probable. It could have been Hermione, but even if she were born first (9 months older, actually), Harry was 1 by the time Voldemort came to their house. And then of course, Ginny's younger, and we all know James and Lily didn't have time for that.

But supposing, for the sake of fantasy, that one of those girls *was* Harry's sister, I'd have to choose Hermione. It just makes more sense for Harry and Hermione to be siblings simply because they connect, almost like twins. I know that it's weird, what with all the supposed sexual tension we Harmonians had put into their interactions, but Harry and Ginny never acted like brother and sister. Excluding HBP altogether (because Lord knows I'll go mad at the thought of brothers and sisters snogging), Harry practically didn't notice that Ginny existed, even when he was saving her in CoS. He noticed her some in book 5, but really... Ginny was almost like some kind of after-thought. No connection there. And then of course, in book 6, they were together (gag!). Too Luke+Leia for me. No more of that; please!

Actually, I have come to the conclusion that Ginny is James and Harry is his mother.
Ginny= brown eyes, likes Quidditich (chaser); not afraid to stand up for people, bratty tendencies, hexes people in the hallways, jokes alot, likes a boy for years before she gets together with him.

Harry= green eyes, special, seems to have the ability to get people to like him, excels in one class (DADA) his mother had Charms);

It is harder to do Lily because we don't know much about her. We really don't know how she looked because we can assume that she was tall or short or had freckles but we really don't know because Harry didn't tell us. I don't think that Lily looks like Ginny other than the red hair.

Rowling just took Lily and James's Characters and changed them into Ginny and Harry. The eye color is key. You get thrown off because of the red hair but Ginny is definitely more like James. I think that Hermione is more like Lily from what we know.

Actually the information that we know about Lily could be added to Hermione or Ginny. For example, both girls were in Slug Club, defended other students (everyone harps on Ginny defending Luna but Hermione has also defended Neville and called out Draco when he was being a brat) and are good at charms (Ginny that stupid BB hex and Hermione with the protean charm) Hermione is more like Lily in that she excels at school (we know that Lily at least did well), and was a Muggleborn. I always thought that if Hermione and Harry didn't live in such horrible times then Harry and Hermione wouldn't have become friends and would have probably been just like James and Lily. (especially if Harry had grown up with his parents- James and Sirius to influence him- he would have been way too cocky) but Harry is enough like his mother to soften those tendencies so as they aged Hermione and Harry would have become friends.
