After reviewing the number of votes and average ratings of stories, I have decided to extend the voting period until Wednesday 23:59 to give some stories that were “dropped” from the competition because of a bug in my code a chance to get a fair number of votes. This was done because I would like a reasonably large number of votes for each story so that the vote is accurate and a true reflection of the opinion of our community.
The voting is very close. The page displaying the votes is using a formula so that stories with less votes will be closer to the top and stories with lots of votes closer to the bottom. The formula does not take into account any story's rating, so it is impossible to guess by looking at the page who is winning. The system also takes into account factors such as when the story was entered. We have slightly less than 100 entries in the Felix Felicis Competition, and so far it has been a complete success. There have been thousands and thousands of members placing votes, and we hope to see many more getting involved over the 3 days remaining in the extended competition.
We value the feedback of everybody, and you can do so by commenting in this thread.
Thank you all so much for making this such a successful competition. I would remind everybody that the prizes can be found here, and a list of entries in the competition can be found here.
It is you, the members of Portkey, that get to decide who will win this competition and the prizes, and we appreciate your support and involvement in making this an immensely successful event!
James
