Okay, well the plot bunnies have held me hostage and won't release me until I let this out.


Alright, let us assume that though explicitly this scene is about Pansy asking Blaise if he finds Ginny Weasley 'good looking', it is actually maybe about her suspecting that Draco is harbouring feelings for the littlest Weasley. This would explain why she is looking at Draco and why she is pleased by Blaise's response. She is letting him know that she suspects something and is reminding him that Ginny is a 'blood traitor' and so not worthy of him.

Also, we know for a fact that Draco has become a rather good occlumens thanks to lessons with his aunt Bellatrix. So here's my challenge:

Plot
- Draco is having his first occlumency lesson with Bellatrix.
- Bellatrix breaks in to his mind (like Snape broke into Harry's mind in OotP)
- Draco wants to hide the fact that he has a crush on Ginny Weasley
- Despite all his efforts Bellatrix manages to see some of what he wants to hide...

Restrictions
- Try to keep Draco as canon as possible
- Any POV (Draco's, Bella's omniscient), rating, title (you may call it "Occlumens)" if you wish), length.

I love this idea, and actually when i was reading HBP it kinda popped into my head. I'm definitely going to take you up on it, but it'll probably be a little while before I get any semblance of a first chapter out.

well! i had a five hour flight to las vegas, a one hour layover, then a two hour flight to seattle. in other words, i finished! i wrote it as a one-shot, but there's potential to pick it up into something more if it catches fire
