Hi everyone,

I am very proud to announce that Portkey's first competition - the Felix Felicis competition, is now open for voting!

On the new/updated page on Portkey you will see a little "felix felicis entry" picture next to competition entries to raise awareness of the competition and to help you identify entries. Stories in the competition will also have a nice big voting box down the bottom where an advertisement usually is, and a small felix felicis picture beneath the story name as well.

I apologise for things taking longer than expected, but I am glad we have managed to finally get things under way!

The one area that is incomplete is the prizes page, which I *will* be finalising tomorrow. I am about 95% sure of them, but checking to make sure everything is do-able and then they will be revealed.

I am going to make a thread in this forum for any questions so that I can identify some common ones and add them to the FAQ on the website.

Thank you everybody for your patience. I hope everybody enjoys this competition - it has been a pleasure organising and creating it for you all to have fun with and enjoy H/Hr. I hope this is the first of many. May the best story win!

It is 2:30am and I have university tomorrow so I am off to bed. If anything breaks while I am asleep then I am very sorry and I will get onto fixing it tomorrow. Everything has been through considerable testing so with some luck we shouldn't run into any problems.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but is it possible to enter a fic after the voting period has started?

Yes, yes, you certainly may! In fact, please do. Entries are being added as we speak; there will be an official cutoff date. I've heard rumours that it might be in a week or so, and others that it might be at the end of August.

It's toward the end of August. Actually, that's when the voting is over, the last day to enter the competition is either the 8th or 15th of August.

I love this competition, I think it's so cool!!
