This idea just came to me around five minutes ago...and since I lack the time required to write the fic itself and have never posted a challenge, I thought perhaps a talented writer from Portkey would accept!

Title: Whatever you'd like
Length: Preferably less than six chapters
Ship: Draco/Ginny
Rating: PG-13
Summary: (You may shorten this one or write a new one altogether) Immediately after her graduation from Hogwarts, Ginny Weasley vanishes. Days after her disappearance, the Weasley family receives a ransom letter requesting an enormous amount of money in exchange for her safe return. And with each passing day, more demands from the kidnapper surface. In desperation, Ron turns to Draco Malfoy for assistance as a last resort. To Ron's surprise, Draco agrees without hesitation. And when the two men decide to join forces and help Ginny escape, Draco gradually tells Ron tales of his tumultuous relationship with Ginny from memory -- a relationship that lasted without her brother's knowledge (Until now). By the time of her kidnapping, D/G had already parted ways...but will this incident change everything?

Please restrict the amount of "fluff" -- I'd like this to be a more drama/angst-oriented fic. Also, there should be no appearances by Harry or Hermione, although their names can be mentioned. The kidnapper can be whomever (Except Draco and Ron, obviously), but it'd be most wonderful if you can weave in a reasoning for her kidnapping throughout the fic. And although this may be difficult: Do keep Draco in character even through his narrations!!

The following must also be included/integrated into the contents of the fic:

"He threw him a quick glance, one that Ron could not decipher. The look in his eyes suggested a strange ambiguity; Does Malfoy care at all, or does he simply care too much? Ron wondered."

"'Do you honestly think I'm suggesting this because I'd rather conserve my riches?' He raised the tone of his voice exponentially. 'Did you think about the chances of her actually being returned if we really submitted to all those absurd demands?"

How does it end? It's up to you But remember that the guidelines dictate that D/G cannot be broken up! But there definitely needs to be an understanding on Ron's part regarding the D/G relationship, that's for sure.

I think I'll try that!!! It may take me a bit! I can do as much as I can, I've got play rehersals and boring science classes that i can write this in. But I'm excited about the idea!
