Okay, here's just a fun little poll for people to pick one another's brains over.

Personally I really wantto know about all the fighting against Voldemort, which I'm sure will have to be brought up sometime soon. You must look at the past to see into the future after all, so I'm hoping we'll see more of their older plights against Voldemort and hopefully a little more insight into their own characters along the way. Alothough it would also be interesting to delve a bit deeper into James' family lines, why weren't they even mentioned on the family tree? Interesting...but we'll just have to wait.

It's nice that people noticed I was gone and I feel bad that I couldn't be around more. Hopefully you'll all hear from me in the not so distant future, promoting the new book I've written. In the meantime I should probably get back to editing it.

I agree with Julie. I think it'd be great to find out about the three battles Lily and James had with Voldemort. I think they'll come up too as otherwise what is the point in mentioning them. I'd also like to know why the potter family is so important.

hard one. I was torn btw petunia and snape, but I voted for petunia because I think her past is even more important. I don´t really think james family is important at all, but I would like to know how was the batles.

Well with a little over a week to go until HBP comes out I thought it'd be a good idea to revive this thread.

There's so little we know about Lily and James' lives and in pretty much every book we've learnt a little more about them, so what do you all think we might learn about them in HBP.

I think that they will appear more often in this book then the others, because this book is in some way gonna deal with the prophesy from OOTP which was given to L/J. So I suspect what happened then will come into it. So I would think we will probably find a little bit out about the 3 battles.

I voted for Petunia.. even though I can't stand her.. she is an interesting and well-written character. I just know that there is a lot that we don't know about her. There's just so much secrecy around her.

I voted to know about James' family, but i must admit that i picked it because it was the first of the list: I hope to see or, better, to get to know a bit of everything!

My best guess is, Harry will take another dive into someone's Pensive, be it Sirius' old Pensive (which I believe he had; I mean... the Blacks, and ancient Pure-Blood family... I bet he had one!) or Dumbledore's again.

Fourth year: We got a look at old Death Eaters, so on.

Fifth Year: we got a look at Snape's memories..

I don't know... I mean, Pensieves look likwe the only way we can get to know about the Time of the Marauders... I'd personally like to know how they made the Map, although it doesn't really matter with James/Lily...

Definitely the defiances. It'd be interesting to see how someone other than Dumbles can pull that off. And what counts as 'defying' someone? What did Voldemort want that Lily and James didn't give him?
